File:Yamato Transport logo.svg
Hi Explicit,
some idiot has moved this non-free logo to Commons, where it got deleted. May you please restore it locally?--Sascha GPD (talk) 12:51, 2 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Sascha GPD: Done, file restored. Apologies for the delay, I was on vacation. — ξ 01:59, 8 February 2017 (UTC)
Bangladesh Cricket Board Logo
Hi Explict. File:Bangladesh Cricket Board Logo.svg was re-added to Bangladesh national cricket team by Ashhab1323 with this edit despite them being advised about non-free image use at User talk:Ashhab1323#Non-free image usage. I didn't notice the edit until today when the file's page showed up on my watchlist. I've reverted them and was going to post something else their user talk, but noticed that Ashhab323 never responded to the previous thread. In fact, it looks like they hardly ever post anything on any talk page. So, I'm wondering whether communicating in English might be hard for them. Any suggestions on what to do in such a case? (See User talk:Explicit/Archive 24#File:Bangladesh Cricket Board Logo.svg for a previous discussion about this.) -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:25, 7 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Marchjuly: English is not an obstacle for Ashhab1323, as this message suggests. It appears that he waited a few months after the messages were left on his talk page before deciding to add it back; not an uncommon tactic. — ξ 01:59, 8 February 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Explicit. Based upon this edit, I agree with you that English ability does not seem to be this editor's problem. The edit was reverted by different editor, but I would not be surprised if Ashhab1323 adds the logo again. Please advise on what to do if this continues. I'm all for AGF. but at some point AGF becomes WP:PACT. -- Marchjuly (talk) 23:53, 12 February 2017 (UTC)
Institute For Social Policy and Understanding
It appears that you deleted the entry for this non-partisan think tank based out of Washington, D.C. and Dearborn, MI for reasons of "G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion."
I would like to write a new entry for this organization, which is notable for having received coverage in third-party news sources including but not limited to Al-Jazeera, The Detroit News and Free Press, the Los Angeles Times, The Cavalier Daily, National Public Radio, Patheos, FiveThirtyEight, and the Chicago Tribune (A cursory Google search of the organization reveals its notability.)
Would you please tell me if it was the content of the previous entry that led to deletion or the very existence of the entry itself?
Finelinebilly (talk) 20:45, 9 February 2017 (UTC)finelinebilly
- @Finelinebilly: It was the content of the entry itself. Aside from no sources being citing, the article was written in the manner of promoting itself; it was accompanied with a mission statement. You are free to create another entry if you deem the content to be appropriate. — ξ 00:10, 10 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Xplicit: Thank you. Finelinebilly (talk) 09:46, 10 February 2017 (UTC)
Kamehameha Schools Song Contest
Hi Explicit. You deleted Kamehameha Schools Song Contest as a prod deletion back in December 2016, but it was recreated shortly thereafter by Kamehamehasongcontest. That account was soft-blocked for a user name violation, but the same person might still be adding content as an IP. Regardless, I can see no evidence that this particular song contest satisfies WP:GNG or even WP:NEVENT. All the sources provided seem to be primary sources or user-generated stuff. I was going to prod it, but didn't notice the previous prod unitl I looked at Talk:Kamehameha Schools Song Contest. Could this be speedied, re-proded or does it need to go to AfD? -- Marchjuly (talk) 07:52, 18 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Marchjuly: It will likely be recreated if deleted under prod again, so it's best to take it to WP:AFD, where at least the article can be speedily deleted thereafter if created after the discussion results in its deletion. — ξ 00:07, 20 February 2017 (UTC)

Image _ Coco Star
You recently deleted a photo for not having evidence of copyright ownership. A form confirming the rights was sent to wikimedia along with confrimation of the rights held (essentially it was a photo taken by me on a mobile device with the permission of the Artist). I generally find Misplaced Pages difficult to find my way around and experianced users can give non experienced users a hard time because of the coded language. In A B C language - how does one upload an image and pass on evidence of rights (and to whom) assuming the dedicated wikimedia permissions address isn't monitored? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 360den (talk • contribs) 15:45, 23 February 2017 (UTC)
- @360den: When was the email sent? Unless someone adds the {{OTRS pending}} tag to the file's description page, there is no way I would know about permission being sent. Have you received a ticket number? — ξ 01:39, 24 February 2017 (UTC)
Request for restore the article
- For self-protection, I am not in logged; however, with due respect, the prob-deletion of Muslim United Nations was plainly not legitimate and was on bad-faith, even nominator did not notice on the talk page of the article creator. The organisation is absolutely not the fake one, did you check the sources. It is the conspiracy of the secret agencies of that subcontinent. Do you think that all demonstrate as fake pages??.

I hope you will restore the article. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 145.132.117.161 (talk) 12:00, 25 February 2017 (UTC)
ZE:A Disbandment
Hello, i'll get to the point. First of all, ZE:A is still active. There's no OFFICIAL announcement for the group's disbandment. Star Empire Entertainment indeed said that the group's contract has ended but the agency DID NOT SAY anything about the group's disbandment. They said they are still in talks with the members for the contracts renewal. Junyoung's post on IG did not mean that the group is OFFICIALLY disbanded. Star Empire Entertainment still manages the members' activities, they also still UPDATES their schedules.
Second, please STOP editing the wiki page and saying that ZE:A is disbanded.
Thank you.. A ZE:A's — Preceding unsigned comment added by Autumnscent (talk • contribs) 11:00, 2 March 2017 (UTC)
Don't threaten to block me
I didn't mean to undo your edits. I promise I could edit better in the future with this account! I'll let someone else decide the fate of the image I uploaded. DBZFan30 (talk) 12:30, 3 March 2017 (UTC)
Image deleted by you
Hello. I added an attempt at an explanation on why Gazzo6.jpg image which had been used since 2005 in the Jane Gazzo article should be kept after it was recently flagged for non-fair usage. Been editing Misplaced Pages since January 2005. The image was irreplaceable and not reproducible. It was a webcam shot in a studio in BBC London during a Radio 6 broadcast. You're sure it violated fair use, being that's it's now moot? --- Wikiklrsc (talk) 19:21, 3 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Wikiklrsc: The screenshot was deleted because it was a textbook violation of WP:NFCC#1. It was a non-free image of a living person, when a free image (the one in the infobox) exists. Justifying its use was pretty much impossible. ℯxplicit 23:57, 6 March 2017 (UTC)
Kinare (film)
Hi,
Kinare (film) has been deleted. Please help me to restore.
Thank you Rohith 16:10, 6 March 2017 (UTC)
- @RohithKumarPatali: Done - as a contested proposed deletion, the article has been restored on request. ℯxplicit 23:57, 6 March 2017 (UTC)
File:Jane Morgan headshot.jpg
Considering your removal of the NFCC tag and my tag disputing it from this image, would you consider my request, made at Talk:Jane Morgan to restore it to the infobox until a determination is made at FfD? Beyond My Ken (talk) 01:30, 7 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Beyond My Ken: I've left a comment on the article's talk page in regards to this matter. I'm aware that the image has been tagged for deletion for being orphaned by a bot; I will remove it once an agreement is reached between you and Hullaballoo Wolfowitz. ℯxplicit 00:03, 8 March 2017 (UTC)
- OK, but I'm a bit confused about what the nature of that agreement could possibly be, as long as HW maintains the position that the image is a NFCC violation. I'll try, though. Beyond My Ken (talk) 00:27, 8 March 2017 (UTC)
- Another editor found a PD image. Could you either add it to the article or remove the protection, since there shouldn't be any more edit warring? The image is at File:Jane_Morgan_Mike_Douglas_Show.jpg. Thanks in advance. Beyond My Ken (talk) 04:26, 10 March 2017 (UTC)
File:Damaris Hayman.jpg
I'm going to retag this image as replaceable fair use. She is alive, and per WP:NFCC #1, we do not accept such media. There's substantial discussion regarding the general issue at Wikipedia_talk:Non-free_content#Replaceable_fair_use_for_retired.2Fno_longer_publically_active_living_individuals and even the original uploader now grants it was a mistake (see this). There are no secondary sources that support her earlier visual appearance as being a significant aspect such that we need to have an image of her earlier appearance per WP:NFCC #8. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 02:40, 7 March 2017 (UTC)
At this point, I'm at a loss to understand what the uploader is intending. I've reverted my restoration of the rfu tag and placed the file at FFD. --Hammersoft (talk) 22:10, 7 March 2017 (UTC)
Deleted Image
Hi
It looks like you deleted the image https://en.wikipedia.org/Special:Upload?wpDestFile=Leccinum.arbuticola.Alan.Rockefeller.jpg
I took this photo and I released it under a wikipedia compatible license.
I've also released it on other websites with a Wikimedia incompatible license, but I do not think that should matter.
Please undelete.
Thanks!
