Image _ Coco Star

Re: https://en.wikipedia.org/search/?title=File:Singer_and_songwriter_Coco_Star.jpg&action=edit&redlink=1

You recently deleted a photo for not having evidence of copyright ownership. A form confirming the rights was sent to wikimedia along with confrimation of the rights held (essentially it was a photo taken by me on a mobile device with the permission of the Artist). I generally find Misplaced Pages difficult to find my way around and experianced users can give non experienced users a hard time because of the coded language. In A B C language - how does one upload an image and pass on evidence of rights (and to whom) assuming the dedicated wikimedia permissions address isn't monitored? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 360den (talkcontribs) 15:45, 23 February 2017 (UTC)

@360den: When was the email sent? Unless someone adds the {{OTRS pending}} tag to the file's description page, there is no way I would know about permission being sent. Have you received a ticket number? — ξ 01:39, 24 February 2017 (UTC)

Request for restore the article

  • For self-protection, I am not in logged; however, with due respect, the prob-deletion of Muslim United Nations was plainly not legitimate and was on bad-faith, even nominator did not notice on the talk page of the article creator. The organisation is absolutely not the fake one, did you check the sources. It is the conspiracy of the secret agencies of that subcontinent. Do you think that all demonstrate as fake pages??.

I hope you will restore the article. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 145.132.117.161 (talk) 12:00, 25 February 2017 (UTC)

ZE:A Disbandment

Hello, i'll get to the point. First of all, ZE:A is still active. There's no OFFICIAL announcement for the group's disbandment. Star Empire Entertainment indeed said that the group's contract has ended but the agency DID NOT SAY anything about the group's disbandment. They said they are still in talks with the members for the contracts renewal. Junyoung's post on IG did not mean that the group is OFFICIALLY disbanded. Star Empire Entertainment still manages the members' activities, they also still UPDATES their schedules.

Second, please STOP editing the wiki page and saying that ZE:A is disbanded.

Thank you.. A ZE:A's — Preceding unsigned comment added by Autumnscent (talkcontribs) 11:00, 2 March 2017 (UTC)

Don't threaten to block me

I didn't mean to undo your edits. I promise I could edit better in the future with this account! I'll let someone else decide the fate of the image I uploaded. DBZFan30 (talk) 12:30, 3 March 2017 (UTC)

Image deleted by you

Hello. I added an attempt at an explanation on why Gazzo6.jpg image which had been used since 2005 in the Jane Gazzo article should be kept after it was recently flagged for non-fair usage. Been editing Misplaced Pages since January 2005. The image was irreplaceable and not reproducible. It was a webcam shot in a studio in BBC London during a Radio 6 broadcast. You're sure it violated fair use, being that's it's now moot? --- Wikiklrsc (talk) 19:21, 3 March 2017 (UTC)

@Wikiklrsc: The screenshot was deleted because it was a textbook violation of WP:NFCC#1. It was a non-free image of a living person, when a free image (the one in the infobox) exists. Justifying its use was pretty much impossible. xplicit 23:57, 6 March 2017 (UTC)

Kinare (film)

Hi,

Kinare (film) has been deleted. Please help me to restore.

Thank you Rohith 16:10, 6 March 2017 (UTC)

@RohithKumarPatali: Done - as a contested proposed deletion, the article has been restored on request. xplicit 23:57, 6 March 2017 (UTC)

File:Jane Morgan headshot.jpg

Considering your removal of the NFCC tag and my tag disputing it from this image, would you consider my request, made at Talk:Jane Morgan to restore it to the infobox until a determination is made at FfD? Beyond My Ken (talk) 01:30, 7 March 2017 (UTC)

@Beyond My Ken: I've left a comment on the article's talk page in regards to this matter. I'm aware that the image has been tagged for deletion for being orphaned by a bot; I will remove it once an agreement is reached between you and Hullaballoo Wolfowitz. xplicit 00:03, 8 March 2017 (UTC)
OK, but I'm a bit confused about what the nature of that agreement could possibly be, as long as HW maintains the position that the image is a NFCC violation. I'll try, though. Beyond My Ken (talk) 00:27, 8 March 2017 (UTC)
Another editor found a PD image. Could you either add it to the article or remove the protection, since there shouldn't be any more edit warring? The image is at File:Jane_Morgan_Mike_Douglas_Show.jpg. Thanks in advance. Beyond My Ken (talk) 04:26, 10 March 2017 (UTC)

File:Damaris Hayman.jpg

I'm going to retag this image as replaceable fair use. She is alive, and per WP:NFCC #1, we do not accept such media. There's substantial discussion regarding the general issue at Wikipedia_talk:Non-free_content#Replaceable_fair_use_for_retired.2Fno_longer_publically_active_living_individuals and even the original uploader now grants it was a mistake (see this). There are no secondary sources that support her earlier visual appearance as being a significant aspect such that we need to have an image of her earlier appearance per WP:NFCC #8. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 02:40, 7 March 2017 (UTC)

At this point, I'm at a loss to understand what the uploader is intending. I've reverted my restoration of the rfu tag and placed the file at FFD. --Hammersoft (talk) 22:10, 7 March 2017 (UTC)

Deleted Image

Hi

It looks like you deleted the image https://en.wikipedia.org/Special:Upload?wpDestFile=Leccinum.arbuticola.Alan.Rockefeller.jpg

I took this photo and I released it under a wikipedia compatible license.

I've also released it on other websites with a Wikimedia incompatible license, but I do not think that should matter.

Please undelete.

Thanks!

Alan Rockefeller (Talk - contribs) 23:48, 12 March 2017 (UTC)

@Alan Rockefeller: You uploaded the image twice, and I deleted it the first time. In that instance, there was no license provided. The only content on the description page was the following: "Leccinum arbuticola by Alan Rockefeller. San Juan Ridge, California. See also http://mushroomobserver.org/225259". The link did not contain any statement for me to conclude what its license was. The second deletion was a result of Fastily's action, so you'll have to discuss that specifically with him. xplicit 00:58, 13 March 2017 (UTC)

Oban Saints FC

Hi Explicit, could you please send me the text of the deleted page above? I don't disagree with the deletion but the club is fairly important locally, so I think it deserves more coverage on the town's article than the half a sentence it currently has. I wouldn't be adding anything which was unsourced but if I can save any time adding from the deleted article rather than going looking for it myself, it would be helpful. Thanks. Crowsus (talk) 20:01, 13 March 2017 (UTC)

@Crowsus:  Done, I've sent you an email with the text that was in the article. xplicit 00:00, 14 March 2017 (UTC)

I am not happy

Why would you arbitrarily delete everything related to Eiko Shimamiya when her article is at DRV with a unanimous consensus to restore? —Xezbeth (talk) 13:22, 14 March 2017 (UTC)

@Xezbeth: At the time of my deletion, those articles irrefutably met WP:CSD#A9. I was not aware that the article was subject to a DRV discussion. How would have I known? I checked the AFD beforehand, and that failed (and still fails at the time of this writing) to carry the {{Delrevxfd}} tag to notify passing administrators like myself to be made aware of it. I wouldn't have deleted the pages in that case. xplicit 23:58, 14 March 2017 (UTC)

Kurt Baker (Musician) Deletion Part 2

Hello,

I'm writing to let you know that the article about Kurt Baker (Musician) is still available online in Spanish. Considering he is a current, active musician with notable references, I believe his page in English should be un-deleted.

He is also a former member of a un-active group which still has a Wiki page.

His name and link to Musician is at the top of Rugby player Kurt Baker's wiki article.

There is no reason for his page to be deleted as it is a valuable source of information to his fans and the press.

National Mario Day

Hi,

I was suprised that File:National Mario Day.png had disappeared from National Mario Day. I think I've tracked down that you deleted it as "(F7: Violates non-free content criterion #1 (TW))".

I read about #1, and I can see why you'd say that - it's a picture of a calender with MAR10 changed to MARiO, which would indeed be easy enough to make.

However, it is unique in being from a specific video made about the subject of the article, and that video is directly described within the article. Therefore, I think it does pass the criterion.

Could you reconsider, and undelete it?

Sorry for taking up your time - it probably seems quite trivial, but, there is a deletion discussion about the article - and, psychologically at least, having an image to go with it makes a considerable difference.

Mithi Software Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Page deletion

Hi, I am writing to you since you took the action of deleting the page I has written. Since this is my first article I really wanted to understand the rationale behind the deletion, and find out if the page can be restored. I was in no way trying to promote the company and would really appreciate a little assistance on the same. Thanks so much!Niharika89 (talk) 10:03, 17 March 2017 (UTC)

@Niharika89: Hi, Draft:Mithi Software Technologies Pvt. Ltd. was deleted because the nature of the page largely focused around the products and services the company offers; it was promotional in nature more than anything else. I implore you to take look at the notability guideline for organizations and companies for a better understanding of what is required of such articles. xplicit 23:56, 19 March 2017 (UTC)

Thanks! I shall have a read through and modify/re-write the article accordingly. Is there a way I can get access to the article I have already written? as it did take a while to write. Niharika89 (talk) 04:45, 20 March 2017 (UTC)

@Niharika89: I can email the content to you. Simply enable the function via the "Preferences" link at the very top of the page. xplicit 00:46, 21 March 2017 (UTC)

I have enabled the email function in my preferences, please send me the email, thanks Niharika89 (talk) 12:52, 21 March 2017 (UTC)

@Niharika89: I've sent you the email. xplicit 23:55, 21 March 2017 (UTC)

I have received a mail, but there is no attachment or link directing me to my draft. Is there any other setting I need to enable in my preferences? Apologies for the numerous questions Niharika89 (talk) 06:49, 22 March 2017 (UTC)

@Niharika89: I sent you a copy of the text that was present in the draft prior to its deletion. I've sent it again, as well as a copy to myself. It looks fine on this side. How is it now? xplicit 07:11, 22 March 2017 (UTC)
@Explicit:Just received it, looking good, thanks! Niharika89 (talk) 07:13, 22 March 2017 (UTC)

Premature deletion of File:Revolutionary Times 1998.jpg

The author of the media in File:Revolutionary Times 1998.jpg, Loey Glover, sent an email granting permission to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and {{OTRS pending}} was added to the file description page to prevent premature deletion. -- The Hammer of Thor (talk) 17:09, 18 March 2017 (UTC)

@The Hammer of Thor: The {{OTRS pending}} tag was removed by the OTRS member Czar with the comment: "no sign of OTRS ticket in system—re-add with ticket number or more details on finding it, or the OTRS agent can undelete the file". When was the permission email sent? Did the sender receive a ticket number? xplicit 23:56, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
