Welcome!!

Hello, Asgardian, and welcome to Misplaced Pages! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, please leave me a message. (Also, I reccomend reading WP:WAF, which I would guess would be of interest to you. Cheers! :)) —Mirlen 04:27, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

Thor (Marvel Comics)

Please do not continue to revert edits that several editors, by consensus, keep removing. To continue to do so at this point is vandalism, and you willbe blocked and possibly banned. -- Tenebrae 03:37, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits are considered vandalism, and if you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you. CovenantD 11:31, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. CovenantD 21:31, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

This is your last warning.
The next time you blank or remove material from a page, as you did to Absorbing Man, you will be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. --Casper2k3 11:53, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

I've removed the final vandalism warning above. I strongly recommend you discuss large edits to any article on the corresponding talk page before making any changes. Continuously making edits such as these against consensus may result in administrator intervention. I don't want to dissuade you from editing articles - just have other editors in mind. --Casper2k3 13:06, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
Casper, many thanks.

Per Misplaced Pages policy about Talk pages, please remove your insertions from MY posting, and assemble them in YOUR OWN posting. Also, all-boldface is considered uncivil shouting. Also, you are expected to sign your posts. --Tenebrae 19:02, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

The phrase "in more recent times"

Hi. Don't mean to open up a can of words, just trying to clarify an edit. There's a Misplaced Pages policy about not using temporal terms (Misplaced Pages:Avoid statements that will date quickly) which includes: "Phrases to avoid include 'recently', 'in modern times', 'now considered', 'is soon to become' ...."

I've brought this up earlier, yet I noticed an edit today with the phrase "in more recent times". I'm genuinely trying to understand the rationale for that edit. --Tenebrae 19:52, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

Re:Absorbing Man

I'm not going to comment on the cosmetic changes to the article, because I imagine you know more about that. What I do object to is your removal of categories and interwiki links. I guess I should have semi-reverted. —Xezbeth 08:44, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

3RR

It appears you have violated Misplaced Pages's three-revert rule on the Absorbing Man article. As you may not be aware of what the three revert rule is, I haven't reported you to the administrators on this occasion.

Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert a single page more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the effect of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you. --Casper2k3 09:56, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your message. I can see that both yourself and CovenantD have different opinions on what should and should'nt be in the articles you are editing. The reason I'm taking an interest is I don't want a full-blown edit war breaking out and I don't like seeing editors being incivil to each other. I'll say to you what I said to CovenantD in the message I just sent: I think you should try and have a civil conversation with CovenantD on either your or CovenantD's talk page and work on improving the articles which you both obviously have a keen interest in. If you find that you cant resolve your differences, I suggest you take a look at an alternative way of resolving your dispute which might help you (although I don't think it's come to that point yet).--Casper2k3 11:00, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
