Theme music

The theme music for Hank Parker's Outdoor Magazine was composed and performed by Wm. A. Landers, which consisted of many "do, do, do, do, do, do"s, and ending with "House needs painting, grass needs mowing, where's he at?, He's gone fishing". The closing version is the same as the opening, which featured the same "do, do, do, do, do"s, and ending with "House needs painting, grass needs mowing, where's he at?, Gone fishing". From the show's debut on January 12, 1985 until Season 11 (1995), the theme music begins with Landers saying "One, two, three, four" before the music begins.

Opening and closing sequences

The original opening sequence for Hank Parker's Outdoor Magazine, which was used from the show's debut on January 12, 1985 until Season 11 (1995). The original opening sequence consisted of Parker getting up early in the morning to go fishing at 5:30 AM. Other scenes included Parker walking out of his house, driving his pickup truck, a motorboat moving, an exterior shot of the house, an answering machine, and a silhouette of Parker fishing before the sun comes up. At the end, a white background appears, which transforms into a still image of Parker himself with the show's logo on it. After that, it opens up like a book to reveal a still drawing of Parker himself, with his signature on it. After that, it flips over to see their tournaments in a Korinna font, the same font used for the clues on the Alex Trebek-era of Jeopardy! since 1984. This is followed by the show's logo again. The original closing sequence is the same as the opening, and it shows a silhouette of Parker himself while the credits rolled, and it shows Parker riding his motorboat, driving his pickup truck, going into his house, a shot of the answering machine, and a motorboat moving. At the end, a white background appears, which transforms into a still image. After that, it closes like a book to reveal the title card, with the 1985-1995 Parker/Runnels Productions logo as a copyright date in roman numerals appear.
