University
Please, does anybody know if Marie has any university course? It's just a curiosity, but I'd like to know it.
Yes, she studied music for 3 years. I'm not exactly sure what actual Diploma or Degree she received. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.160.65.119 (talk) 09:18, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
growing up poor
since when are swedish people poor
LOL. --194.251.240.114 20:28, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
I've lived there, trust me there are poor people and homeless people. This was also in the early 60's when perhaps things were different. Marie's family were extremely poor, they could not even afford heating. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.160.65.119 (talk) 09:17, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
Odd sentence
"Marie unexpectedly fainted" - Apart from the use of alcohol or drugs, when exactly would you expect someone to faint?? --194.251.240.114 20:28, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:The Change - Front1.jpg
Image:The Change - Front1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Misplaced Pages article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Misplaced Pages:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Please verify!
Sorry, but the whole article is a shame. No references, no sources - nothing. Needs major clean up or it will be ready for deletion. --88.67.21.156 (talk) 01:32, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
How exactly do you verify articles written on celebrities? Unless you have the exact article, most information come from general knowledge, interviews, websites etc. There is no official book on Marie Fredriksson apart from a Roxette book written years before her illness and mainly talks about Roxette.
Duet with Kenny Rogers?
In his 1998 box set "Through The Years", Kenny Rogers claims his 1986 hit song "The pride is back" is a duet with "the lead singer of Roxette" under the name Nickie Ryder and that "no one had heard of her at the time, she was a studio singer". Is Nickie Ryder actually Marie Fredriksson under a different name? Given Rogers claim and the diverse array of artists he has worked with during his lengthy career it seems plausible. What do others think? If this is true, it's certainly worthy of mention here. The song can be heard on you tube here 82.45.239.158 (talk) 13:26, 21 February 2016 (UTC)
- I just listened to that song and I'm pretty sure that the female singer is not Marie Fredriksson. - --Aphasia83 (talk) 13:55, 21 February 2016 (UTC)
- Interesting, thank you for taking the time to respond. Would still be interested if anyone knew for sure though? Especially if they had a source. Thanks again! 82.45.239.158 (talk) 14:07, 21 February 2016 (UTC)
