Second Cartoon Network show to move to Adult Swim
Unfortunately, yes. Samurai Jack is, for a fact, the second Cartoon Network original series to move to Adult Swim. The first one was originally Space Ghost Coast to Coast.--2601:2C0:C280:1720:ED08:D4B1:C471:159B (talk) 21:58, 11 June 2017 (UTC)
- While this might be true, a factoid on Twitter is not a reliable source. This claim needs a reliable source, first to establish that it's actually verifiable, and second perhaps so the reader can understand why any of this information matters. Bright☀ 22:09, 11 June 2017 (UTC)
I did not find the fact on Twitter, I found the fact on imgrum. --2601:2C0:C280:E460:38CB:F4E6:753A:C3D (talk) 04:49, 10 July 2017 (UTC)
- Regardless, provide a reliable source (not any kind of social media) with
a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy
, because this statistic is of questionable importance. Bright☀ 15:49, 10 July 2017 (UTC)
Pages for the First Four Seasons
Can we give Seasons 1, 2, 3, & 4 their own pages?
After all, Season 5 of Samurai Jack has its own page, and it just seems strange for it to be the only one. Austin012599 (talk) 21:35, 15 July 2017 (UTC)
- Is each season a distinctly notable topic? Season 5 received separate coverage from the original show, if only because it was made more than a decade later. The first four seasons don't appear to be a distinctly notable topic. Bright☀ 17:33, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
I think they are a distinctly notable topic.
Despite Season 5 being made long after the first 4 seasons, they're all part of the same series.
Besides that, shows like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Spongebob Squarepants, and Wordgirl have their own pages for their seasons. Each season being separate from the other. So why don't we do the same with every season of Samurai Jack? Austin012599 (talk) 20:36, 18 July 2017 (UTC)
- Those articles are of incredibly low quality and shouldn't be something to strive for. Now, regardless of what I think, if you have reliable third party sources that cover these seasons in-depth as a separate topic from Samurai Jack, then by Misplaced Pages's notability policy allows for their own articles, even if they are as low-quality as those articles you cited. Bright☀ 13:53, 21 July 2017 (UTC)
- For example SpongeBob SquarePants (season 5), while satisfying every Misplaced Pages policy and guideline, adds little to nothing to the main topic, SpongeBob SquarePants. But if you can satisfy the policies... Bright☀ 13:57, 21 July 2017 (UTC)
- Experienced observer comment: We typically only create standalone articles when there is sufficient content to warrant it. In the SpongeBob example, (like SpongeBob SquarePants (season 1)) there is a ton of other content: casting info, writing, critical response, etc. Having standalone season articles that are little more than raw episode lists, particularly when the lists haven't even evolved episode summaries beyond loglines yet, would just create article sprawl for no great reason. Hope that helps. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:07, 21 July 2017 (UTC)
