Deloria Online is a 2-dimensional massively multiplayer online role-playing game (or MMORPG).

History

The game was original created by 'Nexemis' and went online around 2002. That version (the original) ceased to be some arouin 2004 and an unofficial version hosted by 'DarkAngel' and coded by 'GSD' went online in 2005. 'Darkangel' gave the game code and server data to a player by the name of "Slipknot998". 'DarkAngel' has since released the source making it available to anyone with Visual Basic 6. The code has many new features such as warp orbs. The server is now down until further notice.

Nexemis studios is working on a new version as of march 2006, and the 'classic' server (a version of the original game) is usually up and running at www.deloriaonline.net

Description

It is described at www.mmorpg.com by a player as:

"... better graphics and game play than most of of its immediate rivals. Although simple it has real depth and its pretty addictive, the relatively small community is certainly one of the most helpful and friendliest out there. Not everyone's cup of tea ill grant you but if you like a freindly crowd and retro anime graphics then give it a try..."
