An editor using a recently created account with a user name similar to yours has claimed to have created the page List of Indian animated feature films. Since you created that page, it means that the editor is claiming to be you. Can you state whether you have indeed recently started using another account or not? - @JamesBWatson: Someone created an account using my name @Sidaq Pratap - ofc:. It's not my account and all the info posted by this user is copied from by User page :Sidaq pratap 17:01, 25 September (UTC)
YouTube
Hi there, re: this, can you please be more specific about your rationale for removing a reference pointing to a verified YouTube channel? You've basically left numerical content unsourced, but with no clear rationale. Per WP:YOUTUBE, which you linked to in your edit summary, there is no blanket ban on using YouTube videos as references, provided they aren't copyright violations. A verified Colors TV account probably isn't an issue. Got anything more specific? Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 05:58, 27 September 2017 (UTC)
- Hi @Cyphoidbomb:, The reason i removed them is even though they are from a verified channel they are not available in every region due to copyright policy, so is it right to use them as a reference?. I am just learning new wikipedia policies and I am sorry if my edits were wrong. Thanks :Sidaq pratap/ 14:07 27 September 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Sidaq, I don't see the problem with using the source. If an Indian editor can legally access the content and verify the data, then it should be fine. I think it's the difference between me owning a DVD and someone else using a torrent file as a reference. I can legally access the material on a DVD, vs. illegally accessing the data in a torrent. Now I personally can't verify the Tu Aashiqui data at present, so I don't know if the YouTube links are even useful, but assuming they are, they should be fine to use without copyright concerns. If it was an unverified channel, that would be an issue. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:27, 27 September 2017 (UTC)
- {{ping|Cyphoidbomb]] the youtube videos are not available in india itself as in india they is an OTT app to watch these episodes, These videos are accessible in few foreign countries only that's why i removed them as a reference. I will be more careful in future, Thanks :Sidaq pratap/ 14:39 27 September 2017 (UTC)
