Andrea Bocelli (born September 22, 1958 in Tuscany) is an Italian tenor, maybe best known to a general audience for his major hit "Con te partiro", which he also performed as a duet with Sarah Brightman and the London Symphony Orchestra. He has released several albums.

Bocelli was born with an inherited form of glaucoma, which only got worse as he aged. When he was twelve years old, he was hit with a soccer ball and went completely blind.

Bocelli was originally a lawyer, graduating as a Doctor of Law from the University of Pisa.
