His solo project, Secret Dakota Ring, has published one album, "Do Not Leave Baggage All The Way". Ross was also the bassist for a brief stint in vaunted early 2000s indie band Cold Memory, and was also the headliner for one of Columbia University's most popular student bands, The A-Ross Experience. Ross was also the captain of his high school robotics team at the Massachusetts Academy of Math and Science.
In addition to OKGO, Ross works as a programmer for the Participatory Culture Foundation.
Andy was born and raised in Worcester, Massachusetts. He attended West Tatnuck elementary school, Forest Grove Middle School, Doherty High School, and the Massachusetts Academy of Mathematics and Science. He then majored in computer science at Columbia University.
Early bands include Phetr, D-Funky and the Beechmont Chilles featuring B-Smooky and his musical horn of plenty, and Conjugal Visit.
His primary guitar influence is Jimmy Page.
Many people know Andy Ross only by his nickname, Aross. In OKGO, he is also known as Rusty.
