Book Seven in the Harry Potter series is to be the last. Its title has yet to be announced. Rumours to have been specifically denied by J.K. Rowling include 'Harry Potter and the Fortress of Shadows' and 'Harry Potter and the Forest of Shadows'. Either Harry Potter or Lord Voldemort will die in this book as according to the prophecy by Sibyll Trelawney, which said neither can live while the other exists. Rowling has said that Harry will survive until Book Seven, but refused to say by how much (ie, he could die near or shortly after the end of the book).

Though this will be the last book of the Harry Potter series, Rowling is reportedly thinking of writing other books.
