She was born in Glastonbury, Connecticut and holds degrees from Dartmouth College and the University of Virginia. She worked as a speechwriter in the Reagan Administration, and also served as a law clerk to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. She launched "The Laura Ingraham Show" in 2001, and has written the books The Hillary Trap and Shut Up & Sing. Because of her fervent and angry conservative stance and her looks, she is often compared to Ann Coulter.
