Neerali (lit. 'Octopus') is an upcoming Indian Malayalam-language film directed and edited by Ajoy Varma and starring Mohanlal in the lead role. It began principal photography in the first week of January 2018.

Production
The film is financed by Santhosh T. Kuruvilla under his company Moonshot Entertainment and co-produced by John Thomas and Mibu Jose Nettikadan. It is the second production of Moonshot Entertainment and their maiden Malayalam film after Nimir. The film was written by Saju Thomas and directed by Ajoy Varma, who is making his debut in Malayalam cinema; earlier he had worked in some Bollywood films as editor and director. The untitled film was officially announced by Mohanlal on 3 October 2017, who acts in the lead role. It was said to begin filming soon after he finishes his work in Odiyan. When asked, Varma said to The Times of India that the film is a "drama-thriller" set in Mumbai, Pune, and Sri Lankan locales, and the principal photography would took place between December 2017 and January 2018. Since more clarity was to be made for few more details, Mohanlal's character and the rest of the cast was not revealed.
The film's title was revealed as Neerali in January 2018. It was earlier reported that actors Trisha and Meena would play the leading female roles. Parvatii Nair join the film in an important role. Meera Jasmine plays Mohanlal's wife. Similarly Kannada actor Sudeep tweeted that he is not a part of the film as reported.
