Nanak Shah Fakir is a 2018 film on the life and teachings of the first Sikh guru, Guru Nanak Dev.

Film is Given green light by SGPC. It was produced by Gurbani Media Pvt Ltd. The original score of the film was composed by Tuomas Kantelinen. The music was composed by Uttam Singh. The film was well-received at the Cannes Films Festival in 2014, at Toronto (October 2014) and Los Angeles (November 2014). The worldwide release was on 17 April 2015.

The movie is facing criticism after the release of trailers for depicting Guru Nanak which is not true as computer-generated graphics are used to depict Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The Sikh group Dal Khalsa warned against releasing the film. Damdami Taksal also submitted a memo to Akal Takht jathedar against film.

The movie courted another controversy after Sartaj Singh Pannu, Director of Nanak Shah Fakir moved the Delhi High Court against financier Harinder Singh Sikka and Oscar-winning sound artiste Resul Pookutty. Sartaj Singh Pannu, in his petition, reportedly maintained that he and other Cast had worked on the project should be give there Credits., his plea for the alternate relief of damages can be consideration at the stage. case is still in proceeding at Court .
