Shortcuts Welcome to WikiProject Civil Rights Movement. This has been formed as a collaboration resource and group dedicated to improving Misplaced Pages's coverage of the civil rights movement and the organization of information and articles on this topic. This page and its subpages contain their suggestions and various resources; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians interested in the topic. If you would like to help, please add yourself as a participant in the project, inquire on the talk page, and see the to-do list, below. Do join us and contribute to the project's development. Thousands of people read our civil rights articles every day and editing one is a great way to improve Misplaced Pages. Say hello on the talk page or add yourself to our active list of WikiProject Civil Rights Movement/Participants . We would love your help! |
Goals
- To improve Misplaced Pages's coverage of Civil Rights Movement activists, and their activities and strategies. We plan on ensuring the history of this slow march to equality is well documented, and that the documentation of it is reliably sourced, neutral, and as verifiable as we can possibly achieve. The history of the Civil Rights Movement is not written about a lot in comparison to topics like Donald Trump these days, and we'd like to change that too: we want to engage with and cause people (reader and editor alike) to want to learn more about the great struggles and incredible triumphs this Movement produced. And we'd love to have your help as one of our listed participants.
Scope
- All articles that can be broadly construed to have to do with the civil rights movement, people, places, events or things.

- Mitchumch (talk · contribs) - I like to find existing and missing crm content on Misplaced Pages; add categories and WikiProject templates to articles; create and add navboxes, infoboxes, and sidebars to articles; fix a variety of glaring issues present in crm content; move crm content away from popular thought towards a summary of reliable sources.
- Randy Kryn (talk · contribs)
- Dicklyon (talk · contribs) – I am proud of the progress that the civil rights movement made, and ashamed of the lack of progress in more recent years. But on Misplaced Pages, I just want to help assure a neutral, correct, and professionally styled presentation of it.
