Mundart des Ostgebiets is a subdialect of Low Prussian. It belongs to the Low Saxon languages. It was spoken around Chernyakhovsk (Insterburg), Klaipėda (Memel) and Sovyetsk (Tilsit). Chernyakhovsk and Sovyetsk belong to Russia. Many speakers of this subdialect were Prussian Lithuanians.
