ACTRIAL:

  • ACTRIAL's six month experiment restricting new page creation to (auto)confirmed users ended on 14 March. As expected, a greatly increased number of unsuitable articles and candidates for deletion are showing up in the feed again, and the backlog has since increased already by ~30%. Please consider reviewing a few extra articles each day.

Paid editing

  • Now that ACTRIAL is inoperative pending discussion, please be sure to look for tell-tale signs of undisclosed paid editing. Contact the creator if appropriate, and submit the issue to WP:COIN if necessary.

Subject-specific notability guidelines

Nominate competent users for Autopatrolled

  • While patrolling articles, if you find an editor that is particularly competent at creating quality new articles, and that user has created more than 25 articles (rather than stubs), consider nominating them for the 'Autopatrolled' user right HERE.

News

  • The next issue Misplaced Pages's newspaper The Signpost has now been published after a long delay. There are some articles in it, including ACTRIAL wrap-up that will be of special interest to New Page Reviewers. Don't hesitate to contribute to the comments sections. The Signpost is one of the best ways to stay up date with news and new developments - please consider subscribing to it. Trying to Correct Naming Convention for RED Digital Cinema Pages

Hello Shellwood,

I keep getting messages stating that I will be blocked with my disruptive editing. I'm honestly just trying to fix the naming conventions, because RED Digital Cinema names their products with capital letters. The way it is now (as lowercase) is not correctly matching how the cameras and products are named. Would you please let me correct any capitalizations, without being blocked? I can give you sources to show you how they name.

Hi, thanks for the vigilance, but I think corrections are constructive. I have The_Talented_Mr._Ripley_(film) recorded from TV and checked the scene in question to make sure I got this right. @Trilleplay: Your article was deleted(for the second time) because the subject had no credible indication of importance and fails per WP:A7. You are welcome to write new articles but the subject must be notable, see here for more information WP:N and WP:BIO. But I highly advise you not to try and recreate the deleted article. April 2018

Hi There You reverted my changes to the Newfoundland Song "The Ryans and The Pittmans" I think you threw out the baby with the bathwater. Obviously the "bbbb" was a typo that occurred because of my finger hitting the 'b' by accident moving the pointer from the IBM speed ball on the keyboard, so sorry about that. However, the changes to provide a definition for "mainboom" instead of a link to an empty page were constructive, so I wish you had left that there, instead of reverting everything! Cheers
