My name is Mark James Slater. I was born 30th October 1959, in West London. I am married with two children. I now live in Cornwall, United Kingdom.

Being a typical Scorpio, I do not believe in astrology. I believe in taking the consequences of my actions, for good or bad.

I have decided to add the name of the nation to relevant articles. I have been shocked by the assumptions of many editors that the reader will know which area/city is being referred to (and I don't think relying on Categories is sufficient - it is best to put it into the text). I suspect I will get bored with this project long before I make the slightest difference to Misplaced Pages (on 28th October 2006 I was directed by using the "Random article" function to an article where I was the last editor - on 15th October 2006 - to which I had previously been directed by said function. This means that either Misplaced Pages is very small or that the Random article function is either very or not very random...).
