These users are automated computer programs and are not humans. Please be aware that bots cannot think like a human and cannot operate outside of their programming. Messages you leave on this talk page will not be answered by a bot – either a bot operator or another human will answer you. Stop False positives and false negativesIf you believe that ClueBot NG has mistakenly identified a good edit as vandalism, please follow the directions in the warning it gave or click here. Please do not report it on this talk page. It takes less time to report the case to the correct location, and we can handle it more effectively there.
If you believe that ClueBot NG has missed an edit that is vandalism, again do not report it here. ClueBot is unable to catch all vandalism. Just revert the edit and warn the editor. What is NG?

What does NG mean? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.147.35.23 (talk) 14:48, 26 May 2018 (UTC)

According to User:ClueBot NG/FAQ, it stands for "Next Generation" -- John of Reading (talk) 15:26, 26 May 2018 (UTC)
It is indeed New Generation owing to the fact that it replaced User:ClueBot.--5 albert square (talk) 23:08, 28 May 2018 (UTC)

How could this slip?

Hi. I was wondering, how could this edit go unnoticed by clie, and huggle? Also pinging Petrb. —usernamekiran(talk) 23:03, 28 May 2018 (UTC)

As per the note at the top of the page, ClueBot is unable to catch all the vandalism, it does catch the majority though. If it misses some, just revert the editor and warn them.--5 albert square (talk) 23:10, 28 May 2018 (UTC)

Please stop reverting me while I am working on this. This is so disruptive! How is it possible for anyone to work on a page here when it gets reverted every few minutes! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hushoney (talkcontribs) 02:17, 29 May 2018 (UTC)

Hushoney Please take note of what it says at the top of this talk page - this user is not human. It is a Misplaced Pages robot, a computer program designed to detect and revert possible vandalism. ClueBot NG reverted you for this edit which is all in capital letters. I'm not saying that you are a vandal, however as I'm sure you can appreciate vandals will commonly use capitals when vandalising the encyclopedia. ClueBot NG has detected the capitals and reverted you. If it wasn't vandalism, please follow the instructions the bot left you to report it and feel free to remove the bot's message from your talk page.--5 albert square (talk) 13:28, 29 May 2018 (UTC)

About talk archives

Why ClueBot III is not creating index? ‐‐1997kB (talk) 15:04, 1 June 2018 (UTC)

Cobi or Rich Smith might be best to answer this.--5 albert square (talk) 15:12, 1 June 2018 (UTC)

Hundreds of broken talk archives

While patrolling a new page and checking backlinks, I found several hundred talk pages that use the User:ClueBot III/ArchiveThis template without the required "archiveprefix" parameter. This results in each of these pages having an archivebox with a bunch of random articles linked in it. I found an example of an instance where this issue was fixed, here, but this now needs to be done for all these pages. Any suggestions on how to fix this? The corresponding index page for each of these talk pages would also need to be cleared, like so. Bradv 02:29, 2 June 2018 (UTC)

I've made a list of all the affected pages here. I suspect this may be a manual process, but perhaps someone can confirm the best strategy. Bradv 03:00, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
ClueBot's doing this to user talk pages as well, which aren't listed here. Here's an example from 10 minutes ago. Bradv 04:28, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
I've actually gone ahead and edited the template to warn about this when it happens, and to put the page into a category: Category:Talk pages with broken ClueBot III templates. That should fill up with all of the broken pages soon. -- Cobi 07:15, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
I think I've gone through them all and fixed them. We'll see if your backlinks page clears out the next time ClueBot III runs. -- Cobi 08:06, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
