90 Minutes in Heaven: A True Story of Death and Life is a book written by Baptist minister Don Piper in collaboration with Cecil Murphey. It is narrated in first-person from Piper's point of view.

Plot

Template:Spoiler While driving home from a ministers' conference in eastern Texas, Piper's car collides with an 18-wheeler. He is pronounced dead on the scene. Meanwhile, he is greeted in heaven and feels peace.

On earth, another minister, Dick Oreneger, passes by and prays for Piper's soul. Miraculously, Piper comes back to life 90 minutes after being pronounced dead, but must endure a long, grueling recovery.
