The Concept
The concept expressed above is fundamental to the encyclopedia's operation. It has a long tradition and deep, subtle meaning. Please consider this before editing the page.
"Every policy, guideline or any other rule may be ignored if it hinders improving Misplaced Pages."
Summary of essay from Jimbo
Here Jimbo contributes his reasoning for supporting this policy. He provides an example of his philosophy for why this policy is beneficial to the mission of Misplaced Pages: "...let's say the view that the earth is really flat. If flat-earthers descend on the site in hoards, then they will eventually win unless pre-flat-earth regulars band together to continually refactor the pages. It isn't necessarily about numbers, but also about how dedicated the numbers are."
