Republic Polytechnic (Chinese: 共和理工学院) is the fifth and newest polytechnic to be set up in Singapore and utilises the problem-based learning (PBL) approach. The polytechnic currently has 5 schools and 5 centres, that offer diplomas in Information Technology, Engineering, Science and New Media, and an enrollment of over 4000 students. The School for Sports, Health and Leisure (SHL) was recently set up to cater to students from the Singapore Sports School (SSS).
The polytechnic's campus was located at Tanglin Road but have since moved to Woodlands. Republic Polytechnic have marked it last day in their campus in Tanglin on 3rd of March and have officially moved to the new campus situated in Woodlands. 3rd of March also marked the last day for their first batch of students who are graduating in year 2006. The first graduation ceremony is held on 30 May 2006.
Republic Polytechnic's Learning Approach
Republic Polytechnic is the first institution in Singapore to adopt for all its diploma courses, PBL(Problem Based Learning). It focuses on solving a problem for each lesson by gathering information and presenting the solution of the problem by the end of the day through a series of meeting and group discussion.
Republic Polytechnic is also a paperless orgainzation in which tests and problems are being done through the usage of computer and thus not requiring the usage of paper although paper is still used by students during discussions and also backup test paper in-case the student's computer malfunctioned.

- Centre for Science and Mathematics (CSM)
- Centre for Professional Development (CPD)
