Long drink vs. high ball
could someone please explain the difference and put this in context? --unsigned by 85.177.153.184 at 18:27, 17 July 2008
- Done. (Anyone care to elaborate on Finland's importance? I must admit that I find the conclusion slightly baffling.) --Preceding unsigned comment added by Beastmouth (talk/contribs) 14:43, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
- To my knowledge the English speaking world knows only the highball. Some other parts of the world use the word Longdrink for the same thing, and erroneously think it's an English word.
- The article shuld be deleted. A sentence in the highball article to the effect that a highball is called Longdrink in some places should be enough. --BjKa (talk) 11:55, 14 September 2014 (UTC)
Wrong Picture
Kurko Long Drink contains no gin. Hartwall Original Long Drink is the one what should be in the picture. --Lalli (talk) 18:44, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Move Finnish Lonkero to New Article?
This article seems to combine two related, but separate things into one article: (1) the term "long drink" as a generic description for a group of cocktails and (2) the Finnish lonkero. Although the lonkero is a kind of long drink, I think it is really its own separate thing at this point. I propose that the article be split in two - one for the generic term and one for the "long drink" in a Finnish style. Magic1million (talk) 21:30, 28 August 2018 (UTC)
