An online database of movies, television shows, cartoons, and shorts. The IMDb has an extensive amount of information on works, including basic details such as actors and directors, as well as more esoteric information such as trivia, soundtrack listings, aspect ratios, and alternate versions. Any person with an e-mail account and a browser that accepts cookies can set up an account, then submit information and vote on works. The IMDb can be found at http://www.imdb.com

Though it started as a leisure project of a few movie enthusiasts, it was bought by Amazon.com, who owns the copyright of the information contained there, so it is not a source for copy and paste.
