The IMDb has an extensive amount of information on works, including basic details such as actors and directors, as well as more esoteric information such as trivia, soundtrack listings, aspect ratios, and alternate versions. Any person with an e-mail account and a browser that accepts cookies can set up an account, then submit information and vote on works. The IMDb can be found at http://www.imdb.com
Though it started as a leisure project of a few movie enthusiasts, it was bought by Amazon.com, who owns the copyright of the information contained there, so it is not a source for copy and paste.
They don't own the copyright on the information itself--just the way it is collected and presented. You can't cut and paste, you can't use their descriptions, but you can certainly use it as a source of information about who did what and when. See USSC Feist v. Rural LDC
Could you elaborate on Feist v. Rural? I don't even know where to begin to search for that information. Also, how would you modify the previous paragraph to make it correct?
