- January 1 – ABS-CBN Corporation will be full broadcast of additional digital terrestrial television channels on ABS-CBN TV Plus, Creative Programs: Asianovela Channel, Movie Central, Myx, Jeepney TV and O Shopping exclusively for ABS-CBN TV Plus subscribers in selected areas only.
- January 13 - The 5 Network's UHF all-news and sports channel on Channel 41, AksyonTV will soon to be officially rebranded as 5Plus. They will also launching its digital feed on the same date. Prior to the teaser commercial relaunch, the network will planned to ended its commercial operations on January 12, it will be the third broadcast network in the country on Channel 41.
