If it doesn't appear here, that means I'm not really thinking about it right now. Well, at least, not too much.

Nothing is ever considered WP:DONE!

  • Predictably, nothing showing up here

Qualifications

  • On Latvia — Own parents Latvian from Latvia, wife's parents Latvian from Latvia. An "A" student all throughout Latvian school (history, geography, literature,...) growing up. Bibliophile collecting (rare) Latvian-related materials using own web site, LATVIANS.COM, to bring them to a wider audience. More generally, a long time student of history. The best quote about me and Latvia came from my first wife, now quite (!) a few years ago... "I don't see you passionate about anything except Latvia."
  • On Post-Soviet geopolitics — Russia's holding to official positions in direct contradiction to incontrovertible fact—and then leveraging those lies to its advantage with a great flourish of posturing and "righteous" diplomatic indignation—is far from limited to the Baltics. That behavior extends throughout its own territory to the borders of the "former states of the Soviet Union" and beyond, where debunking Soviet myth is regularly denounced as "historical revisionism."
  • On Indo-European culture/language — Having been inculcated from an early age that Lithuanian and Latvian are the oldest living European survivors of the Indo-European language tree, it's been a topic of a fair amount of reading and yet another enabler for my bibliomania affliction.
