Operation Overdrive was a scheme to improve public transport in and around the Medway Towns with new and refurbished buses operated by Arriva.

A fleet of 61 brand new buses paraded along the streets of Chatham and Gillingham on 13 June 2004. The existing vehicles in the fleet were completely modernised by having them refurbished and repainted. All the buses at the Gillingham Depot have CCTV and all have upgraded their destination blinds from the original "wind-up" blinds, to the smart LED displays.
