Mendoza has worked around the world getting his start in Auckland, New Zealand. He has also worked in Australia, the United States, the French Riviera & Monaco for an English Language radio station.
Mendoza returned to UK in his late 30's and has worked for the BBC, Radio Mercury, Southern Sound, Spectrum Radio and LBC before joining Talksport in 2004.
Mendoza is a cousin of comedian and actor Peter Sellers. He was presented as a case study by the UK branch of Action on Smoking and Health of someone affected by second-hand cigarette smoking (repeated chest infections) though he never smoked himself.
Current activities
At the moment, Mendoza can be heard Saturday, Sunday and Monday mornings between 1 and 6 a.m. on Talksport.
Mendoza is Jewish and has co-founded a London-based Jewish radio station, Shalom FM, in order to provide, he says, "some balanced reporting about the community and Israel."

- Michael Van Straten - joins Mendoza to offer tips on health and healthy eating every Monday morning between 4 and 5.
