  • If you leave a message for me: I will most likely respond here. Either add this page to your watchlist or ask me to notify you of a response on your talk page.

Also, having a unique body of work in your edit history is helpful to other editors in many positive ways, and shows that you are genuinely committed to building Misplaced Pages as an encyclopedia.
  • For example, you may have unique knowledge or insight on a particular topic, and having a talk page under your username allows other editors to consult you directly for advice on matters in your area of expertise. With a dynamic IP, no one knows how to contact you, so they won't.
  • Note: I reserve the right to decline or withdraw from a situation that is escalating or uncomfortable, without giving a reason, or to take further action through permissable means. This may include removing your messages from my talk page.
  • Related Note: User talk pages, including mine, are often used by other editors to ask for advice or help in difficult situations. (If you're a millennial, think "safe space".) If another user has mentioned you here in such a situation, please do not bring your arguments here, or attempt to defend yourself. Any such comments may be removed by me, or by some other editor, at any time. Please don't re-add the same or similar comments, as that will be treated as harassment. If you're feel the compulsion to respond everywhere your name is mentioned, even after being asked not to, that's a clear sign of immaturity, or worse. Grow up, or leave.
  • If I mistakenly called your edits as vandalism when I reverted them, it was probably because you did not leave an edit summary. (This also applies to Rollbacks.) Please realize that, in many cases, unexplained edits are indistinguishable from vandalism!

  • If you're here to troll, harass, or vandalize, you will be reverted, probably blocked...and beware the giant dice.

@Trekphiler: Forgive me if I overstepped my bounds in this situation. However, the user has also been harassing me on my talk page, as shown in my edit history, so in that sense I'm already "involved". Location of Caribbean Court of Justice

Exceuse me, BilCat, but on what basis are you suggesting that the location of the Caribbean Court of Justice "isn't important" and that "its clearly stated that this is where it's based"? Because looking up the articles on the (1) European Court of Justice, (2) Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court and (3) US Supreme Court, one can very easily see that all these articles give an exact location (and in some cases even an exact building) - respectively (1) the Palais building in Kirchberg, Luxembourg, (2) "second floor of the Heraldine Rock Building, Block B, on the Waterfront" in Castries and (3) "Located across First Street from the United States Capitol at One First Street NE and Maryland Avenue". Are we to edit these articles too to remove the specific address as being unnecessary?72.27.147.23 (talk) 10:11, 28 May 2019 (UTC)

@72.27.147.23: I looked at all 3 articles you mentioned, and none of them list the address in the lead section (introduction), which is where you were adding the specific street address. If you want to add it later in the body, in equivalent places where the address is mentioned in those articles, then feel free to do so. - BilCat (talk) 19:19, 28 May 2019 (UTC)
