Wikipedians try to follow a strict policy of never biting new users. If you are unsure of how to do something, you are welcome to ask a more experienced user such as an administrator. One last bit of advice: please sign any discussion comment with four tildes (~~~~). The software will automatically convert this into your signature which can be altered in the "Preferences" tab at the top of the screen. I hope I have not overwhelmed you with information. Re: Wiki Administrator abuses

Hi, first of all I am not an administrator of Misplaced Pages, I have no power over these sort of things. I assume you are User:131.94.88.215? If you are not, I invite you to discuss your differences with user:TheronJ on the talk page and with him directly on his talk page. If you want to have the community input, I suggest to bring the matter to Misplaced Pages:Requests for mediation or, as a last resort, Misplaced Pages:Requests for arbitration. Remember that an administrator is a user like you and me and that we all make mistakes :) Since it is an administrator, you might want to raise the matter on Misplaced Pages:Administrators' noticeboard but since it is an editing problem I am not sure this is the best option. My suggestion will be following this page. I am not an admin, I just follow the procedures on how to use warning templates and if necessary, report the abusive user there. MythSearcher 00:18, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

I will also reiterate the warning about spamming user talk pages and screaming "fire". Repeat it and you'll be blocked. --kingboyk 16:12, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

  • Kingboyk, please notice, if you look on my talk page, you will find that I have found the proper forums to post the information. I thought to look for administrators because I followed the instructions that told me how to contact administrators, if needed. User Talk pages are not the place for these discussions, unless they have already inserted themselves in the matter. I have taken the proper steps to notify Misplaced Pages of potentially libelous content and vandalism, which is a concern for all editors and administrators.Rememberkigali 16:39, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

Entire sections were deleted when there were responses to them. This is not screaming "fire." You are only writing this because I am new and he is an admin. I am looking out for Misplaced Pages and it is important to uphold its standards. I will continue to fight for Misplaced Pages in an honorable way.Rememberkigali 16:14, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

A bunch of things:

  1. I hope that you enjoy editing Misplaced Pages, and that you work to become an experienced editor. There are a lot of things to learn, but if you want advice, I'll be glad to help.
  2. As to our dispute with regard to the Clint Curtis page, I thought we were making progress, particularly given your last few comments on the talk page. Since it appears that you are still unhappy, let me offer some suggestions.
  • If you would like some help in this dispute, one good idea might be to file a request for advocacy. An advocate would be able to help you learn the various Misplaced Pages policies, guidelines, and customs that apply to our dispute.
  • Ultimately, the way that you and I are expected to resolve our dispute is through one or more methods of dispute resolution. My preference under these circumstances would be informal mediation, but if you have any other concerns or preferences, please let me know.
  • If you think that I am libeling Clint Curtis, the best place to get help is the Biographies of living persons noticeboard. I will say that I don't think I'm libeling him, but you're free to get more opinions.

Hi, My apologies, I contacted you because I was seeking help from administrators. You indeed should not have been contacted and I will look over to delete any remaining comments on other pages. On further inspection, you have been contacting a few users that are not Admins. If my name or their name is on the list of admins, then kindly take it off. I don't want to give the impression I'm an admin. -Yancyfry jr

Just a note.

You can't delete accounts under the laws that Misplaced Pages operates under, and most admins are not going to ever oversight all your edits, and account renames are not that common unless you request them (and that still leaves your contributions open to prying eyes.) 24.89.197.136 23:10, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
