This non-free media file should be replaced with a smaller version to comply with Misplaced Pages's non-free content policy and United States copyright law. According to Misplaced Pages's policy for non-free content, the amount of copyrighted work used under fair use should be as little as possible. In particular, non-free media on Misplaced Pages should not be usable as substitutes for the original work. A high-resolution non-free image is questionable fair use and may be deleted per Misplaced Pages's copyright policy.
In most cases, this reduction will occur automatically: simply wait a while and a bot will resize the image file according to the guideline at WP:IMAGERES. When an automatic reduction does not occur or a manual reduction is desired, the size of an image may be reduced in an image editing program or by saving and re-uploading a suitably sized thumbnail. Once a reduced version of this file has been uploaded: Please replace this template with {{subst:orphaned non-free revisions}} (through source edit) or {{orphaned non-free revisions|date=29 December 2024}} (through VisualEditor or Twinkle).Fair usetrue |

Licensing:
This is a copyrighted image that has been released by a company or organization to promote their work or product in the media, such as advertising material or a promotional photo in a press kit. The copyright for it is most likely owned by the company who created the promotional item or the artist who produced the item in question; you must provide evidence of such ownership. Lack of such evidence is grounds for deletion. It is believed that the use of some images of promotional material to illustrate:
qualifies as fair use under Copyright law of the United States. Any other usage of this image, on Misplaced Pages or elsewhere, might be copyright infringement. See Misplaced Pages:Non-free content and Misplaced Pages:Publicity photos. Additionally, the copyright holder may have granted permission for use in works such as Misplaced Pages. However, if they have, this permission likely does not fall under a free license. Please note that our policy usually considers fair use images of living people that merely show what they look like to be replaceable by free-licensed images and unsuitable for the project. If this is not the case for this image, a rationale must be provided proving that the image provides information beyond simple identification or showing that this image is difficult to replace by a free-licensed equivalent. Commercial third-party reusers of this image should consider whether their use is in violation of the subject's publicity rights. Fair use //en.wikipedia.org/File:Virtuality-cast.jpg true |
