Contests
User:Dr. Blofeld has created Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Africa/Contests. The idea is to run a series of contests/editathons focusing on each region of Africa. He has spoken to Wikimedia about it and $1000-1500 is possible for prize money. As someone who has previously expressed interest in African topics, would you be interested in contributing to one or assisting draw up core article/missing article lists? He says he's thinking of North Africa for an inaugural one in October. If interested please sign up in the participants section of the Contest page, thanks.♦ --Ser Amantio di NicolaoLo dicono a Signa. 01:36, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
Please claim your upload(s): File:MapWorld02UAI.jpg
Hi, Thank you, for uploading this file.
However, as part of ongoing efforts to ensure all media on English Misplaced Pages is correctly licensed and attributed it would be appreciated if you were able to confirm some details,
If it's your own work, please include {{own}}, amend the {{information}} added by a third party, and change the license to an appropriate "self" variant. You can also add |claimed=yes
to the {{media by uploader}} tag if it is present to indicate that you've acknowledged the image, and license shown (and updated the {{information}} where appropriate).
If it's not your own work please provide as much sourcing/authorship information as you are able to.
This will assist those reviewing the many many "free" images on commons that have not yet been transfered to Commons.Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:43, 23 July 2016 (UTC)
Administrative Subdivisons source material?
Hello! I see that you've gotten out of the mapping business on Misplaced Pages, which is quite reasonable. That being the case, would you be willing to share the data you've collected so that the rest of us can build on your excellent work without having to rebuild things from square one? Any form of vector or geographic data would be great - as of now we just have the final rendered bitmap, and scattered SVGs for various countries, so it'd be nice to have the collected dataset to work with.
If you'd rather keep it to yourself, I understand, but I wanted to ask before I started trying to hunt things down myself. Thanks! --The Human Spellchecker (talk) 18:57, 28 September 2016 (UTC)
ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!
Hello, Rarelibra. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
Survey Invite
I'm working on a study of political motivations and how they effect editing. I'd like to ask you to take a survey. The survey should take 5 minutes. Your survey responses will be kept private. Our project is documented at https://meta.wikimedia.org/Research:Wikipedia_%2B_Politics.
I am asking you to participate in this study because you are a frequent editor of pages on Misplaced Pages that are of political interest. We would like to learn about your experiences in dealing with editors of different political orientations.
Sincere thanks for your help! Porteclefs (talk) 15:52, 16 June 2017 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:LifeGem (logo).jpg
Thanks for uploading File:LifeGem (logo).jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:20, 8 July 2018 (UTC)

Municipalities of the Brazilian States
Hi. I see that you make maps of the municipalities of the Brazilian States. What do you think about making maps in SVG format? The quality of them is much better. Thanks and take care! − Allice Hunter 05:11, 20 January 2019 (UTC)
A kitten for you!
Hey. Hope things are well with you. I noticed you haven't edited since 2016. I came here after tracing your username behind some good work you did a long long time ago. Warm wishes from Colombo.

There were also contributions to Wikidata and Wikimedia commons, which brought the total number of wikimedia pages created during the contest to over 1,000.
