She is memorable in the Canadian horror movie Black Christmas (1974) directed by Bob Clark. Hussey also played Mary, the mother of Jesus in the 1977 television mini-series Jesus of Nazareth, also a Zeffirelli film. Hailed everywhere as a rare natural beauty, she reportedly wore next to no makeup.
Ms. Hussey was married to actor Dean Paul Martin from 1971 to 1978.
