Revision as of 03:43, 15 December 2006 by Isshun (talk | contribs) (Added Infomation)(diff) ← Previous revision | Latest revision (diff) | Newer revision → (diff)Jeff Gerstmann (born August 1975) is a senior editor at popular gaming website GameSpot. He began working at GameSpot in the fall of 1996, around the launch of VideoGameSpot (back when GameSpot separated PC and console games into completely separate entities). He is known to be obsessed with the Microsoft Gamerscore system, and every week at his Gamespot page provides an update on his current tally of points. He also shares his thoughts on a variety of other subjects every Monday on his Gamespot blog.
He is a founding member of the bands Headboard, The Suburban All-Stars, and Midnight Brown. Additionally, Gerstmann's vocal stylings can be heard on the theme songs for both Time Trotters and GameSpot's game show, Button Mashing. Gerstmann also appeared on ABC's Good Morning America as a guest in September 1999 to discuss the launch of Sega's Dreamcast gaming console.
He obtained his own (now defunct) newsgroup at alt.sports.gerstmann, which housed several crossposts from alt.religion.kibology. It was believed to be created in or around 1994 by Usenet icon, Tjames Madison.
Is also a goddamn idiot, probably because his review for The Legend of Zelda:Twlight Princess for the Nintendo Gamecube is one fucking point higher than it's Wii counterpart because of the sound quality. This was most likely a ploy for attention after his much debated Wii scoring of the game as was seen on gaming forum sites like NeoGAF and Gamefaqs
