Response to removal of references

I removed them because they were placed in the wrong series. For e.g. you placed Boogiepop references into Wataten. I didn't know where exactly to place them for the Boogiepop table so I ended up just removing it from Wataten. Sorry about that...GlitchyM. (talk) 20:10, 30 December 2019 (UTC)

Oh, ok. Thanks for letting me know. Feel free to add anything else to the page, because I'm always trying to add more. Hopefully the page will ultimately be split off into other pages. But, its not at that stage...yet.--Historyday01 (talk) 23:21, 30 December 2019 (UTC)

Response to removal

I get what you mean though. XD Majority of the anime with lesbian themes on this list were added by me almost two years ago, and I was constantly reminded to always add some referencing (instead of always referring to original research). For advice, I would just let the series finish first before finding traces of LGBTQ+ characters...unless maybe there's sources from the manga that already confirm them to be the latter. ;) Moreover, along the lines of referencing, it would also be beneficial to shorten some references, because excessive use of them could make the article waaaay top big (and this article has had an ongoing problem with that). :P GlitchyM. (talk) 06:57, 15 January 2020 (UTC)

That is good advice. I'm slowly going through the animated series in the article currently. I can agree with shortening the references as the article is undoubtedly large at its current state. Some day it will hopefully be subdivided into various articles.--Historyday01 (talk) 14:59, 15 January 2020 (UTC)

Take the addition of Spongebob SquarePants and Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, just a brief summary of the characters sexuality with a few referencing. I think another idea is to put information of the episode inside the reference. Look inside the Spongebob references and you'll get what I mean. That way the summary would be short and you wouldn't have to explain each episode through the summary. That's why I'm shortening some of your additions. GlitchyM. (talk) 06:44, 4 February 2020 (UTC)

Hmm, that's not a bad idea, actually. I'll think about it.--Historyday01 (talk) 22:08, 24 February 2020 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages and copyright

I guess someone must have cribbed the stuff and put it on IMDB, because that's where I copied it from. I guess I'm not that surprised.Historyday01 (talk) 13:12, 10 March 2020 (UTC)

Work on LGBTs in animation.

Hello. I'm gonna keep this short. I'm not 100% if doing the lists by character classification versus premiere date is the best way to do it; though I'm not going to argue about that. Having said that, I just wanted to thank you for all of the work you've done to fix and improve all of these lists. Maybe in the future, I'll have more free time and energy to help. PanagiotisZois (talk) 11:22, 13 March 2020 (UTC)

I mean, I don't know if its the best way forward either, but the current organization of the lists is a mess. In the future I'm thinking of putting together tentatively titled History of LGBT and animated series, a name proposed by Immortal Wizard, the same user who originally thought it was a good idea to delete the page listing LGBTQ characters in the 2010s (IW later changed their position). My idea is that, as I posed on their talk page, that there could be list pages and a history page. As I said there, "the history page would summarize the elements from the list, go into more detail, focus on those animations which have English sources and are influential. Any of the List of animated series with LGBT characters pages could link to this history page for further context." I don't think deleting the pages is a good idea at the current time as I would imagine that they get a lot of traffic.--Historyday01 (talk) 16:23, 13 March 2020 (UTC)

Copying within Misplaced Pages requires attribution

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Misplaced Pages. It appears that you copied or moved text from Maria Holic into List of animated series with crossdressing characters. While you are welcome to re-use Misplaced Pages's content, here or elsewhere, Misplaced Pages's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Misplaced Pages, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from ]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Misplaced Pages:Copying within Misplaced Pages. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa (talk) 14:31, 16 March 2020 (UTC)

I'm 100% sure I didn't copy anything from Maria Holic. I copied stuff from any of the List of animated series with LGBT characters pages, but not that one. And the stuff I copied was my own work, yes. Get your facts right. In any case, I'll add attribution so I don't get another of these dumb messages in the future.--Historyday01 (talk) 14:53, 16 March 2020 (UTC)
