Sorry!
Hi Darren, Thank you for your help. I'm new to Misplaced Pages,(as if you couldn't tell!) I will learn to add the citation source correctly. Thanks again for catching my mistake. :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ktowenszona (talk • contribs) 20:39, 18 July 2020 (UTC)
- Ktowenszona, Not to worry - it can be a learning curve! This is the best page I've found for learning to reference: WP:REFBEGIN :) Best, Darren-M talk 20:41, 18 July 2020 (UTC) Awesome! Thanks :)

All three respected websites state poor ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.97.39.126 (talk) 12:49, 25 July 2020 (UTC)
- 88.97.39.126 I don't think simply removing the content around service entirely is helpful. I've removed the decidely peacocky 'reputation for superior service' from the article, but retained the factual elements around CMA results. Best, Darren-M talk 14:13, 25 July 2020 (UTC)
- Obviously, feel free to review my edit and insert additional content if necessary. Best, Darren-M talk 14:14, 25 July 2020 (UTC)
Copyvio claim at Talk:Environment and sexual orientation
Regarding this and this? Huh? We are allowed to quote researchers on the talk page. Why did you edit that post and add that tag?
Please don't ping me if you reply. I will check back. Flyer22 Frozen (talk) 01:35, 19 July 2020 (UTC)
- There is a quote by the researchers, which I have retained, followed by analysis from a 2006 blog post, which I have removed and tagged for revdel. The former is fine and there is clear attribution. The latter is not, and there was not. Best, Darren-M talk 01:41, 19 July 2020 (UTC)
- I see. Thanks for explaining. Editors have quoted blog posts at times without seemingly any issue. And I don't mean content that falls under WP:NEWSBLOG. For example, there have been WP:Self-published cases that allow it. But I'm not thoroughly familiar with what is the best route in this "environment and sexual orientation" case. Flyer22 Frozen (talk) 01:51, 19 July 2020 (UTC)
- No problem. I'd always air on the side of caution for copyvio. I think it's fine if we attribute it, but frankly in the context of a talk page discussion we're better just to link to the blog post rather than copying-and-pasting content I think... Darren-M talk 01:54, 19 July 2020 (UTC)
- Crossroads has clarified this. Thanks for doing so. Sxologist (talk) 02:40, 19 July 2020 (UTC)
- Sxologist, I'm so sorry, I've just realised my edit to your talk page was still sat waiting to be published, oops! But yes, copying and pasting text anywhere on Misplaced Pages without saying where it has come from is usually a copyright breach, even if it's on a talk page or wherever. There are limited exceptions for text under certain copyright licenses, but this is few and far between so I would always attribute it by linking to the source. Ralph Nieders deletion
--Hello Darren, I voted to have the Ralph Nieders page deleted, may have forgotten to place four ~~ symbols. The person I dealt with back in 2014 was Jacob Rogers Legal Counsel Wikimedia Foundation. One of the complaints filed against me was that there was no proof that Rnieders and Ralph Nieders were the same person, so I had to prove who I was and that all the images submitted were my property, but then I had to prove that this was my project and that I was not a paid employee generating the images for someone else, e.g. government officials or a company. I was not paid to edit any article, and I hope you can understand that I started this project when I was 32 and am now 66 years old. It started with Freddie Laker, the defunct Laker Airline from England that introduced 99 dollar one way flights between London and New York. In 1986, he tried to refloat the airline in Tijuana, Mexico and I came up with the concept on how to quickly move people across the U.S.-Mexico border. Needless to say, I regret having been invited by Mr. Rodolfo Ramos Ortiz to that meeting since this project has caused me nothing but pain. Mr. Ramos died following a car accident in which he came to San Diego to try to help in the negotiations of TwinPorts which was to be the first true bi-national airport in the world between Tijuana and San Diego, his family blamed me for his death since I invited him to San Diego and participate in that project. Unknowing to me, at the time the Sinaloa Cartel had begun to dig its first drug tunnel from the Tijuana airport to a warehouse on the U.S. side and did not want any bi-national airport or cross-border terminal to interfere with their operations. It was not a pleasant working environment. So I do have an extensive background on Mexico and was determined to make this project happen regardless of cost, but in hindsight, it was simply not worth it. The drug tunnels from the airport have continued (Ejido Tampico is part of the Tijuana airport), the last one being found in April of this year. I lost. I appreciate you trying to help.
