rollback

You clearly rolled back my edit (which was discussed on the talk page) because I edited as an IP address. You reverted without comment 1 minute after I edited. Somehow I reckon if I'd been logged into my administrator account you wouldn't have done that! 90.252.190.223 (talk) 21:52, 1 August 2020 (UTC)

Looking at the edit, I actually have no idea I did that. I always leave an edit summary when using Huggle and my best bet is that I misadvertendly pressed the r key twice. However if I'm honest, it is King's College Hospital and not facility, so perhaps that would be more sutiable. Apologies for any inconveniences caused. (P.S. I doubt you are an admin, but if you were it probably wouldn't have made a difference as I rarely look at the user field) — Yours, Berrely • Contribs 17:44, 2 August 2020 (UTC)
We then end up with Kings College Hospital is a hospital, which is ugly. I was trying to get rid of the 'acute health care facility' as it's an awful Americanism to describe an NHS teaching hospital. 90.252.190.223 (talk) 21:35, 2 August 2020 (UTC)

Rollback

Hi, Got a feeling there's been been a miscommunication somewhere. I noticed on the talk page of an article that it needed to be rewritten because it was composed of copyrighted material. I rewrote a lot of the page, and left a note that I had been doing so, but now have been copyright-flagged for doing so. Now the changes have been rolled back so the original contributions are gone and copyrighted material is public.

Hi there ‪Rvdimitri‬, I'm confused myself, when looking at the edit you made, I could see it was heavily copied from another website. Have you been rewriting the page using copyrighted material? (Please remember to sign your posts on talk pages by typing four keyboard tildes like this: ~~~~. Or, you can use the button, which automatically signs posts.) — Yours, Berrely • Contribs 20:04, 21 August 2020 (UTC)

Hmm. Maybe it looks that way because I moved a lot of the original copyrighted information under new subheadings? I've been rewriting it periodically but thought rewriting the whole thing in a single edit was a bit ambitious. I haven't added a single word of copyrighted writing to the page (though I'd hope single words can't be copyrighted, anyway). Thanks Rvdimitri (talk) 20:50, 21 August 2020 (UTC)Rvdimitri

Persecution of Hindus

Hello! Thanks for asking for revision deletion for Persecution of Hindus. On investigation, I found that the copied text was published in 1893 and was therefore in the public domain. So this was a case of plagiarism rather than a copyright violation. When copying compatibly licensed material, attribution is required. See this page for instructions on how to proceed if you come across this situation again. I have reinstated the text and added attribution at the end of the reference section, but please note that this is the first time I have done this, and I may have got things wrong! Cwmhiraeth (talk) 10:08, 23 August 2020 (UTC)

Cwmhiraeth, sorry, I completely missed that! Thank you for clearing that up. If anything I'm in the wrong! Apologies for the inconvenience. — Yours, Berrely • Contribs 10:42, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
Better to err on the side of caution than leave a copyvio in place! Cwmhiraeth (talk) 10:45, 23 August 2020 (UTC)

Copyright infrigement

Hi, Berrely!

I read your notification about copyright problems in The Tolbooth, Aberdeen.

I'm so sorry about that and I will be extra-careful in further editions. I promise!

Kind regards, Knewdates (talk) 17:38, 24 August 2020 (UTC)

Knewdates, it's fine, as long as you make sure not to copy from non-free sources, there is no cause for concern! — Yours, Berrely • Contribs 18:46, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
