Cluebot III did not fix up a link while archiving a talk page thread

This section is pinned and will not be automatically archived.

Hi Cobi. ClueBot III archived a talk page thread () but did not adjust a link at the beginning of the Help_talk:Citation_Style_1#Proposal_to_support_link_decoration_not_only_for_links_to_Wikisource_but_also_for_other_inter-wiki_links to point to the new location. This is what I had expected the bot would do: . Can you fix this please? Thanks. --Matthiaspaul (talk) 19:53, 6 September 2020 (UTC)

Following up on this, in this bot edit () your bot should have fixed up this link () and in this bot edit () this one (). So there appears to be a problem either with links from the same page and/or with links starting with #.

Can you guide me a little here?

I'm trying to do my first archive of my Discussion page on wikimedia commons. I'm not very technically minded, I'm afraid, but have tried to follow the instructions on your page. So I pasted in "{{User:ClueBot III/ArchiveThis|archiveprefix=User talk:ClueBot Commons/Archives/|format=Y/F|age=2160|archivebox=yes|box-advert=yes}}" to the code at the top of the talk page, but that didn't seem to work. Can you advise? The Little Platoon (talk) 11:12, 20 September 2020 (UTC)

@The Little Platoon: CB3 only runs on enwiki not Commons. You can use ArchiverBot instead by changing {{ClueBot III/ArchiveThis to {{User:MiszaBot/config. Also you should change 'ClueBot Commons' in the archive prefix to your username otherwise it will archive to the wrong place --Nintendofan885 16:47, 22 September 2020 (UTC)

Talk page discussion not moved to archive

Greetings, this edit by ClueBot III removed a discussion from Talk:Habesha peoples, but the discussion is missing from Talk:Habesha peoples/Archives/2020/June, to which it was ostensibly moved. I figured I'd check here first before trying to manually fix things. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 02:33, 21 September 2020 (UTC)

Can I/should I revert the removal? Or manually move this to the archive page? I'm hesitant to modify the talk page archives at all because of an earlier mess there, following a series of page moves. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 10:32, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
My apologies, my first post linked to the wrong edit: it should be this one, and I have corrected it above. Also: I just noticed that ClueBot III did try to archive the discussion in question (diff), but then reverted itself with an edit summary "Archive failed" (diff). I'm not sure what the failure was, but it did not restore the discussion back to Talk:Habesha peoples. (Actually it looks like it reverted itself twice: the first of them (ostensibly at the same time) was here but only appears in ClueBot's contributions, not in the archive page's history.) I'm still not sure whether to do anything about it, or have the bot come back and do it. There's an ongoing WP:LTA issue regarding the article itself, which is why I'd like to link to the discussion in one place or the other, but now it's not located anywhere. (@Cobi?) -- Gyrofrog (talk) 00:41, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
That usually indicates that Misplaced Pages told ClueBot III that the edit it made to remove the section from talk page was unsuccessful. There may have been an outage/site issue going on with Misplaced Pages when it tried to archive, especially as a revision is in the contributions, but not in the history. I'd suggest just manually fixing the page (either the archive or the talk page). If it continues to act up, then perhaps it's worth taking another look at. -- Cobi 11:11, 28 September 2020 (UTC)

False claim?

Bousenheiser said Amblin Entertainment was founded in 1981. False claim? Great. It was founded in 1970. --2600:1700:4300:2C8F:89EA:72E4:97DB:14B5 (talk) 15:13, 22 September 2020 (UTC)

Archive not archiving

Hi, I am slightly confused. Cluebot III hasn't been archiving my archives since June so I was wondering if I have made a mistake in the archiving process? Sorry, I am very new to this process. Hope someone can help. Kind regards. Maxwell King123321 06:30, 23 September 2020 (UTC)

@Maxwell King123321: The bot is working correctly. Hidden at the top of User talk:Maxwell King123321 it says age=2160, so no discussions will be archived until they are 2160 hours old - that's 90 days. To see some archiving, either wait patiently until early November, or reduce that figure. -- John of Reading (talk) 06:54, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
