Unblock request

We can't unblock you at this time, because you haven't given us the information we need to look into your block. You yourself were not blocked; if you were prevented from editing, you must have been autoblocked or blocked because of your IP address. I'm removing your unblock request because there's nothing we can do without this information. If you are still autoblocked by the time you read this message:

  1. Try and edit the Misplaced Pages:Sandbox by clicking .
  2. Copy the {{unblock-auto|...}} code generated for you under the "Autoblocked?" section.
  3. Paste the code at the bottom of your user talk page and click save.

If you are not blocked from editing the sandbox then the autoblock on your IP address has already expired and you can resume editing. --  Netsnipe   ►  16:38, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

It's vandalism on your shared IP address. Please follow these instructions for unblocking. Thanks. --  Netsnipe   ►  15:00, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks

Ta for the unblocking, many happy regards, 1B6 14:32, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

FYI: I didn't unblock you since you didn't give me the required information. Since you're posting again, it means your autoblock expired instead. --  Netsnipe   ►  14:34, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

Help

There isn't any code to do that. It happens automatically when you get new messages. You should place further {{helpme}} tags on this your talk page rather than anywhere else, this is where people will respond. --pgk 16:00, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

I'd go to one of the pages you've seen it, use the edit button to see what the code is and copy it to your own page. I'll add though that many people dislike those for the obvious confusion they can cause. --pgk 16:05, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Autoblock of 82.198.250.72 lifted/expired.

Request handled by:  Netsnipe   ►  15:07, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

Header

What you want are probably Template:usertalkheader and Template:User new message. See User talk:Netsnipe/header for an example of them in action. You might also want to fix those invalid red links on your page. --  Netsnipe   ►  15:18, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

Comment

isn't really very helpful. — Matt Crypto 13:07, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

I didnt mean it to be helpfull, I was enforcing the policy. 1B6 14:13, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
The user, who is apparently a new Wikipedian, as you apparently are, had placed a recipe on their user page. Let's keep that in proportion. If that is indeed against policy (is it?), it still does not merit a threat to be blocked (which you cannot enforce) nor an encouragement to leave if they don't like it. See WP:BITE. — Matt Crypto 16:31, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
I've readded it. Sorry, but that was unilateral, very bitey (see above), not in the spirit of userpages, contrary to assuming good faith, and ignorant of the fact that WP:NOT, especially the section you "used", isn't intended for userpages. Please do not re-revert it in. Daniel.Bryant 00:07, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Helpme request

{{helpme|Why do I keep getting logged out?}}

This is an intermittent problem that affects some users. Here are some steps you can try to solve it:

  • Make sure that your browser allows cookies from Misplaced Pages.
  • Try using the 'Remember me' checkbox when logging in.
  • If neither of these work, this alternate login interface has solved problems for people in the past.

Hope that helps. --ais523 11:58, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
