Rutilus prespensis is a roach, a freshwater fish of the family Cyprinidae. This fish is described as an independent species from a single lake in the Balkans, Lake Prespa, which extends to Albania, Greece, and North Macedonia. It occurs near shores and in shallow, swampy areas of the lake, and grows up to 17 cm length.
