Copulas is the plural form of copula. In mathematical statistics the word is used for the joint cumulative distribution functions, C(x,y), of random variables that have uniform marginal densities. If the cumulative distribution function has the density function c(x,y), then C(x,y) is the double integral of c(x,y). Copulas does not necessarily have densities.
