The Far West was a steamboat from the Coulsen Packet Company that was built in 1870. She most famously brought cargo from Fort Abraham Lincoln in support of a portion of the Great Sioux War of 1876 that resulted in the Battle of the Little Bighorn.

She sank near Saint Charles, Missouri on October 30, 1883.
