- 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine
  - 2022 Ukrainian summer counteroffensive
    - Ukrainian forces strike the strategic Antonivka Road Bridge in Kherson Oblast using its M142 HIMARS missile system, causing severe damage to the bridge and preventing vehicles from crossing. Ukraine also claims to have destroyed a Russian ammunition depot, artillery and other military equipment in the region, killing 51 Russian troops. (AP)

July 2022 United States floods

2022 Gujarat toxic liquor deaths
- At least 40 people have died and 50 others have become ill after consuming illegally brewed alcohol in Gujarat, India. Several suspected bootleggers have been detained in connection with the deaths, according to Gujarat Police. (NDTV) (AP)
