Here's an old post of mine. Relevent today as it was 3 years ago.
WP:NSONGS says, Most songs, it does not say, most recordings, it does not say most covers, it does not say most versions and it certainly doesn't say there are exceptions. It therefore acknowledges one article per SONG. - No one is arguing that the song isn't notable, but there is no policy at all that says that all things that are independently notable get independent articles: being independently notable is simply the minimum threshold for getting an independent article. WP:NSONGS is quite clear on how these situations are handled, and Richhoncho's merge is in accordance with it: multiple covers of one song are covered in one article.—Kww(talk) 19:38, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
