Hello friends,
Here is the beginning of the lead paragraph for our page on Zoning District. Hopefully this doesn't get deleted again. Let's just wait and see before furthering the dialogue on this talk page Jlfbrown (talk) 20:23, 19 October 2016 (UTC)
Scope & Japan changes
Hi folks, good start! I think the "Scope" section needs a little bit of clean up. The last sentence is confusing. Maybe try switching the sentence order. Also, the Japan section is very detailed but a little hard to read. Would you be able to bold or italicize (or maybe make a table) for this section? Please let me know if you are searching for sources for anything. Lettucesmith (talk) 03:29, 10 November 2016 (UTC)
Thank you for the input Lettucesmith Jlfbrown (talk) 17:28, 10 November 2016 (UTC)
Hey all and thank you for the feedback Lettucesmith. I agree with your comments re the Japan section. I was wanting to put in an image that I've already found but wasn't sure about the copyright issues. It's from an official Japanese government pdf report. Any ideas? Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ignatiusbut (talk • contribs) 01:40, 11 November 2016 (UTC)
Reading some of the feedback that has already been posted, I also found the Japan section to be difficult to read. I personally think a table would be a great way to capture all of the existing information (which is really great) in a succinct and approachable manner. Mtp109 (talk) 02:43, 23 November 2016 (UTC)
Other Examples
Hiya gang, great work. I really enjoyed the section on Euclidean Planning - the use of links to other wiki pages for all the technical jargon is a really efficient way of making it more accessible to everyone. I thought it might also be useful for readers to include a real example of a zoning district and the outcomes of the process. Perhaps the case of First Shaughnessy Heritage Conservation Area in Vancouver? This one is particularly interesting because of the controversy surrounding heritage value, land prices, and resident pushback. Lucas.ozols.mongeau (talk) 21:54, 14 November 2016 (UTC)
