It is not important if we like truth or not, but we must always support truth because with her death we are all in danger. The first victim of any dictatorial or aggressive regime is always truth; we know that from world history. There are many examples of truth's vulnerability, so there is no need to delve into the distant past but only to the XX and XXI centuries.
In today's world, we must fight against propaganda created by the state for our own freedom. One popular notion is that nobody should touch journalists in order to protect the freedom of information, but we must not forget that they may be persons who create false information and propaganda. A very good example of that is Fox News Channel. About 25% of people who receive information from Fox News (or journalists who work for this channel) believe that, since the occupation, the USA had found WMD in Iraq!!
Axis of Evil contains other examples of modern state propaganda, in the USA and Europe, that uses news media and journalists. Members of the Axis are (or have been) Iraq, Iran and North Korea yet, in 2001, people from Saudi Arabia and Pakistan also attacked the USA. On the other side, in the "new" Europe, state propaganda seeks to change the thinking of people who are against NATO, so that these states can enter this military organization. The word they use for this is not "propaganda" (which is a dirty word) but instead it is known as "informationcampaign" so as to show the benefits of joining NATO.
If we do not fight propaganda today, we may easily fight in real wars tomorrow.
Recently, I have been working on articles, which some may claim are anti-USA because, against the wishes of the Croatian people, my country will join NATO.
For anybody who thinks that the US is great, democratic and all other good qualities, there is this article (I have not been working on it):
In Misplaced Pages, I have found a few interesting articles that have been put up for deletion for various reasons. Accordingly, I have put these articles on my user page:
List of places blurred out on Google Maps - This article I have copies before its deletion. Why? Because this article was written about in many states before it was deleted, and I do not see a reason for deleting if it is popular.
