Taslimaat
Regarding the editing work on Lisan ud Dawat by your side, I respect it. I did extensive studies on the language of both sects viz. Alavis and Dawoodis. Both have totally different approach. The studies on the same has been carried out in IIS, London. To be specific and to get beyond doubt, I added the word "Alaviyah". I request you if possible to create a different page of the Zabaan of Dawoodis and surely with the system which they incorporate. I request you not to intermingle both concepts. Yes, you can definitely give references or links.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Barzilai Medical Center, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gujarati (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Speedy deletion nomination of Al-Husayn Mosque
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Misplaced Pages. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Al-Husayn Mosque requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Misplaced Pages:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Help Mohammed Burhanuddin
Hello. I hope you are fine. I’d like to explain my reversions in more detail than the edit summaries allow. Misplaced Pages requires citations to reliable and authoritative third-party sources. Two good sets of Misplaced Pages guidelines that I have found really useful can be found HERE, regarding verifiability and HERE, regarding the need to maintain a neutral point of view. For an essay explaining why not to use videos as sources, see: Videos as references. Best wishes, George Custer's Sabre (talk) 09:40, 13 June 2020 (UTC)
- @GorgeCustersSabre: Sorry, I hadn't read this message. I reverted the revert and removed link to core.ac, as I assumed incorrectly that it was the only problem. So, I've removed the link, but I guess, the thesis from a graduate at National University of Singapore could be relied upon as a reliable source?
- Re: video ref: Not an official policy, I see, but: mahadalquran.com is run by the office of the current incumbent Dai and successor of Mohammed Burhanuddin. I'm sure it as reliable a source as it gets for the matters pertaining to the Dawoodi Bohra community, especially relating to the titles and awards awarded to their own leaders. Murtaza.aliakbar (talk) 10:08, 13 June 2020 (UTC)
- @GorgeCustersSabre: Wanted to let you know: I've gotten rid of the thesis-ref for Mansur al-Yemen and managed to find a book that I now quote from! Thanks! Murtaza.aliakbar (talk) 21:28, 17 June 2020 (UTC)
Sectioning of the page Lisan ud Dawah
As-Salaamo Alaykum, Dear Brother in Imaan,
With Du’aa-e-Khayr, You have been editing the Lisaan ud-Da’wat page for quite some time. In the beginning this page had certain technical things and confusion about the origin and development of the language. I edited it as per the dialect of Alavi Bohras and made reference to Dawoodi Bohras who to some extent share common vocabulary.
Brother, if you want to keep the page common for us Alavis and Dawoodis, then we should mutually agree to divide this page into 2 sections dealing with both communities differently. Thereby, minimizing any further conflict or misinformation. The title now is grammatically incorrect, it should be “Lisaan-o-Da’wat il-Bohra.” The process of the formation of this language for Alavis is through Gujarati and the same for Dawoodis is Arabic. At first Syedi Ameenji bin Jalaal (ra) in Ahmedabad and Syedi Khawj bin Malak (ra) in Kapadwanj 1005 AH wrote in their works certain fragments of texts which was like Gujarati apart from Arabic. This continued in the Da’wat and both the communities took their own course under the patronage of Da’i saheb for the progress of their own language.
Brother, I think you are well-versed with your Da’wat language and I request you to make a complete separate section so that viewers/researchers could get the clear idea about our language. With Regards. Noor
@NoorAlavi: Salaam.
Sure. I just haven't gotten around to collecting information on Lisan of the Dawoodi Bohras. I also request you to please cite the related research on the page. It barely has any references.
Just so we are clear, I haven't made any vandalising edits (or shooed in Dawoodi Bohras onto the page), since the last time we corresponded.¹ With recent edits, I only seeked to improve the layout of the page in accordance with WP:MOS.
¹ Our earlier conversation is up here: https://en.wikipedia.org/User_talk:NoorAlavi#LuD_-_Alavi Murtaza.aliakbar (talk) 13:25, 14 June 2020 (UTC)
Taslimaat,
Brother, please divide the page into two section, as I know very clearly that Sulaymani Bohras have very different speaking style means Urdu Oriented. I think they will be of least concerned with the Title "Lisaan o Da'wat il Bohra". Because when we speak of Bohra Sulaymanis too gets inclusive. After our previous conversation I got to fetch a file from my Dawoodi friend in London regarding Dawoodi Bohras Lisaan. I am send you on your email. Refer it and accordingly get into the crux of Lisaan. This is your email mark.sunnyvale at gmail. Tahayyaat. --NoorAlavi (talk) 11:58, 16 June 2020 (UTC)

Hydroxychloroquine-Covid edits
On my talk page, you said: Hi, I'm curious as to why information about the 3 of the 4 authors retracting the study was removed, because it is important information that one of the authors refused to retract.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/Special:MobileDiff/963105857?diffmode=source
I don't see it out of place, nor do I see it is excessive. Same goes for other edits (re: dexamethasone) where information was removed citing conciseness. Not that I don't agree, but I'm curious why such edits are made. Important information is being diluted away by such edits and I personally do not favour such edits, though, I see why anyone would make them. Is there some Misplaced Pages policy around this that I need to know about? Thanks. Murtaza.aliakbar (talk) 07:47, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
- I believe there are two issues supporting these deletions. First is that the use of hydroxychloroquine as a possible therapeutic for COVID-19 infection is mostly concluded now with it being declared as having no benefit in the Solidarity and Discovery trials, and so should be discussed as briefly as possible. Covering the history of its earlier development in trials belongs in the hydroxychloroquine article (if warranted; I don't think it is now), not in the drug development article. If there's useful history on why the retraction of the Lancet paper occurred, it's best as a historical side note. Second is that the Misplaced Pages articles on COVID-19 drug development should be as brief and general as possible per WP:NOTJOURNAL #6-8 and WP:NOTEVERYTHING, and written mainly for the general user, not for medical editors more interested in all details about a drug (same applies to the dexamethasone discussion). You can reply here, if you wish further discussion. Zefr (talk) 13:29, 21 June 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Malik ul Ashtar Shujauddin
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Malik ul Ashtar Shujauddin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
Your submission at Articles for creation: Idris Badruddin (July 29)
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reasons left by Robert McClenon were: This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Misplaced Pages article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Misplaced Pages.Thank you for your submission, but the subject of this article already exists in Misplaced Pages. You can find it and improve it at Idris Badruddin instead. The comment the reviewer left was: Two copies of this page have been created, in draft space and in article space. It is not necessary to create two copies of the same page, and it annoys the reviewers. If the article is kept, this draft should be redirected to the article. If the article is deleted, this draft may be kept for future improvement. Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.- If you would like to continue working on the submission, go to Draft:Idris Badruddin and click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window.

Lineage of Mufaddal Saifuddin
- @Murtaza.aliakbar: sorry, but that's not how WP:NOR works. Furthermore, whenever you post a statement from a source, you have to take into account WP:NPOV, as well as WP:BALASP and WP:IMPARTIAL. The term "claim" is neutral position to take and is not an act of original research. Alssa1 (talk) 00:57, 5 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Alssa1: Thanks. You mentioned He claims descent , I don't see anywhere in sources that he's had a genetic test Can you please point me to which "sources" you are referring to here because you didn't link to them in your original edit. As for WP:IMPARTIAL the current article is about the title-subject themselves. Re: WP:NPOV, again, I don't see how claiming lineage is something that's not neutral. Murtaza.aliakbar (talk) 08:10, 8 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Murtaza.aliakbar: No source on that page proves categorically that he is descended from Muhammad, all he can do is claim that he is. When it comes to impartiality, you don't take every single thing in there as fact, you don't assert his claims as fact; particularly when those claims offer some religious/theological benefit to him. Per WP:NPOV claiming descent would be perfectly fine, but you keep changing the statement in the page from "claims" to "is", your edits turn a neutral statement to a positive assertion which does not fit in with WP:NPOV. Finally, there is no issue with the term "descent"; in English the term has two meanings: 1.) Descending down a pit or chasm. 2.) Descent denoting ancestry. Alssa1 (talk) 09:42, 8 September 2020 (UTC)

Murtaza.aliakbar (talk) 08:10, 8 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Alssa1: Thanks for clarifying your stance.
- you don't assert his claims as fact Here's the problem. The initial statement was made by another editor who cited two sources whilst you have cited none. And if you claim that the cited sources contain assertions that are baseless, you'd need to point me to sources that indeed say that. As for the current sources, do you have access to them at all to know what the author has claimed is without basis and proof? If not, you'd want to contact the original editor to see why they wrote what they wrote, before you "assert" your edits as valid and binding.
- positive assertion which does not fit in with WP:NPOV. I am sorry, I don't agree that positive assertions are inherently not neutral.
- offer some religious/theological benefit to him Sure, but that isn't upto Misplaced Pages editors to decide? That should come from, preferably, reliable third-party sources. Even then, there's a small matter of WP:DUE lest someone cites a hate-group's article on the topic.
- Finally, there is no issue with the term "descent" Didn't know. Thanks. Murtaza.aliakbar (talk) 11:42, 8 September 2020 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Dalai Lama with Abdulqadir Nooruddin, CDMW, 2019.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:Dalai Lama with Abdulqadir Nooruddin, CDMW, 2019.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Misplaced Pages may not meet the criteria required by Misplaced Pages:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Misplaced Pages:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Replaceable fair use File:Saifee Burhani Upliftment Project Depiction.webp
Thanks for uploading File:Saifee Burhani Upliftment Project Depiction.webp. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Misplaced Pages. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 21:05, 29 June 2021 (UTC)

Hello, I'm ItsSkV08. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Narendra Modi, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Misplaced Pages has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! ItsSkV08 (talk) 01:52, 3 July 2021 (UTC)
- ItsSkV08 Thanks. I've added an extended note now. The sources did exist in the article itself, just not in the lede (where references aren't really required anyway). Murtaza.aliakbar (talk) 11:28, 3 July 2021 (UTC)
Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Misplaced Pages:Edit requests, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. What you added is an invitation to canvassing. That is not acceptable. RandomCanadian (talk / contribs) 02:07, 23 July 2021 (UTC)
- RandomCanadian Per my reading, I don't see how it is canvassing.
An editor who may wish to draw a wider range of informed, but uninvolved, editors to a discussion can place a message at any of the following:
... The audience must not be selected on the basis of their opinions.
On the user talk pages of concerned editors. Examples include: Editors who have made substantial edits to the topic or article; Editors who have participated in previous discussions on the same topic (or closely related topics); Editors known for expertise in the field; Editors who have asked to be kept informed
- Thanks for staying vigilant though. Murtaza.aliakbar (talk) 01:18, 24 July 2021 (UTC)

- Beccaynr I know my policies, but thanks for the reminder. I can not possibly take any one who tells me "long days at office" isn't fancruft seriously. But I'll bite this time and try to justify my edits over on the talk page. Murtaza.aliakbar (talk) 00:36, 28 July 2021 (UTC)
- I would appreciate implementing WP:BRD, and discussing this further on the Talk page of the article. Beccaynr (talk) 00:47, 28 July 2021 (UTC)
- Beccaynr WP:BRD would have been when you'd have started the discussion on the reverts.
Revert an edit if it is not an improvement, and it cannot be immediately fixed by refinement. Consider reverting only when necessary. BRD does not encourage reverting, but recognizes that reversions happen. When reverting, be specific about your reasons in the edit summary and use links if needed. Look at the article's history and its talk page to see if a discussion has begun. If not, you may begin one.

- Beccaynr No, your revert broke text-source integrity. I've reverted your revert. Murtaza.aliakbar (talk) 01:10, 28 July 2021 (UTC)
- I should have been more clear in the edit summary about why I also reverted your other unexplained edits, including the removal of content from reliable sources, but I have made this more clear in my next edit summary, as well as indicated that all of the sources refer to Byju as the founder or creator of the app. I am more than willing to work with you on revising this article, but let's talk about it on the article Talk page. Thank you, Beccaynr (talk) 01:30, 28 July 2021 (UTC)
- Beccaynr You could have taken it to the talk page to explain it. You didn't. Instead, you kept reverting edits. This is tiring. Anywho, I've put up the content-dispute on respective talk pages for a discussion and your inputs. btw, you could have considered not removing the notability tag yourself from Byju Raveendran's page since you extensively edited it, and could have waited for an independent editor to have done so. Orphaned non-free image File:MSB Educational Institute Logo 2021.png
Thanks for uploading File:MSB Educational Institute Logo 2021.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Zidane scores a Panenka, World Cup Final, 9 July 2006.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:Zidane scores a Panenka, World Cup Final, 9 July 2006.jpg.
If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Adeletron 3030 (talk • edits) 16:10, 12 May 2022 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Syedna mohammed burhanuddin portrait.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Syedna mohammed burhanuddin portrait.jpg.
{{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Tottenham Hotspur F.C.. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Hzh (talk) 07:48, 7 May 2023 (UTC)

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent disruptive editing – IPs removing well-sourced content claiming the sources are "outdated.". — Jkudlick ⚓ (talk) 19:43, 7 June 2023 (UTC)
- Declined – Content dispute. Please use the article's talk page or other forms of dispute resolution. There's little engagement beyond calling the IP editor a "vandal," them responding with "cringe individual," and so on — no one comes out looking good in that exchange. Please take it to the talk page. El_C 20:06, 7 June 2023 (UTC)
- @El C: How do you suggest editors wp:talk with someone / something hopping IPs?
- Also, the reverts are persistent on content that's well sourced. Murtaza.aliakbar (talk) 22:06, 7 June 2023 (UTC)
- Something being sourced does not guarantee inclusion (see Verifiability does not guarantee inclusion), as there are issues of WP:DUEWEIGHT and other possible factors. What to do? Start a talk page discussion where you politely present your position. Next time you edit that page, state in the edit summary something like: IP/s, discussing this only though edit summaries isn't useful. I started a discussion on the article talk page @ <link> so please join me there. The IP/s may not even know talk pages are a thing, as some mobile versions don't display these (hence the <link>). Good catch at Jared Cohen (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views). Since he's redirecting his official website to his book on Amazon, I removed it as failing ELOFFICIAL criteria, kept his twitter link, and added a link to his profile page at Goldman Sachs. What do you think?
As for the other two articles, the twitter links are redundant, and simply so. The corresponding ELOFFICIAL links go to websites that have twitter links on their font pages, so shouldn't be included per NOT and WP:ELMINOFFICIAL. - Hipal (talk) 17:41, 9 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Hipal: Don't agree, but I am not going to contest it. Appreciate you keeping me in the loop, though. Thx Murtaza.aliakbar (talk) 00:21, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- And why ? --Hipal (talk) 15:45, 9 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Hipal: I saw the other external links were really useless and since Paul's very active on Twitter, it makes sense to link to that over other links (like interview with paul graham, essays by paul graham etc). And of course, I had forgotten about this conversation. Murtaza.aliakbar (talk) 14:53, 11 April 2024 (UTC)

- I realized after I posted this notice that the other account is not eligible to contribute to Israel–Palestine related topics because it's not extended confirmed. If your reverts had been marked as enforcing arbitration requirements it would not count as edit warring. However, you could still have handled it better, for example warning them and if necessary reporting to an admin, rather than just reverting. (t · c) buidhe 00:26, 17 November 2023 (UTC)

Deliberately misleading
You are using an old interview of Sara Ali Khan's father in which he says that even though his daughter was "born a Muslim", he does not want to thrust any religion on to her. You then use that source to claim that "she was raised a Muslim". All this when she herself does not identify with any religion. Deliberately trying to mislead readers like this will only result in permanent blocks. Please stop! Krimuk2.0 (talk) 06:27, 21 December 2024 (UTC)
