The Predators were involved in the following transactions from June 8, 2004, the day after the deciding game of the 2004 Stanley Cup Finals, through February 16, 2005, the day the 2004–05 season was officially cancelled.
In parentheses is the player’s free agency group on July 1 if applicable.
The Predators retained Safronov’s NHL rights through the 2007–08 season.
Bombardir was inactive during the 2004–05 season.
Farrell retired.
Murray retired due to the neurological disorder Dystonia. He was able to resume his career during the 2005–06 season.
Though he was reported to have signed with three different European teams between February 14–17, 2005, York was ultimately inactive during the 2004–05 season.
