During the 2024–25 season, FC Chernihiv competed in the Ukrainian Second League. Due to the ruin of the Chernihiv Arena, the club still use the stadium Yunist Stadium. Following this season, the club was relegated to Ukrainian Second League.

Season summary

Having finished the previous season in 19th place, the club is relegated to the Ukrainian Second League for this eason. Oleh Osypenko and Danyil Khondak returned from loan to their respective clubs, Inhulets Petrove and NK Veres Rivne. Several players who did not convince the club left, such as Daniil Davydenko and Roman Vovk. In the first part of the league, the club started well, winning the first match 8-2 ​​against Metalist 1925-2 Kharkiv and drawing the second at home against Chaika. The club continued well but dropped toward the end and during the winter transfer season.
